Max Is Poorly Again

When I got in from work at 3.30 ish this afternoon, there was lots of poo and wee all over the living room. One of Max's eyes looked odd and he gums looked pale, so I got him straight to my vets. The vet who examined him (who specialises in Opthalmology) thinks that the most likely diagnosis is Lymphoma :mecry:

He said it's likely that this was the problem all along. I asked him whether it's common for Lymphoma not to be picked up in blood tests, etc and he said "very" :( I might as well book him back in to Liverpool Uni there as they will have to run all the tests again and at least the results will come back quicker that way. Have spoken to an intern over there and she is going to speak to the Oncologist and ring me back. As Max is okay-ish and is still eating, he can stay here with me and then get an appointment at Liverpool next week.

His PCV was still going up (it was 29.7) but his white cell count is low. The vet has given Max a couple of injections to stop the sickness and dire-rear and he has some liquid Zantac which I have to give him three times a day, starting at midnight tonight

Sorry to ask again, but can you please please send lots of Reiki and healing thoughts again for my boy? :( I just knew it was too good to be true :mecry:

Becky (the intern at Liverpool) just rang back. She said that I should try not to worry too much -although it could be Lymphoma it could be something else. She was luffly and didn't mind me blubbing down the phone to her

I need to ring back Liverpool on Monday morning and make an appointment for next week.
