redditchlady Posted November 11, 2008 Report Share Posted November 11, 2008 Dave and I picked up Mandy's ashes from the vets tonight. It has been a really hard couple of weeks here. I am sorry I have had to be away for a while and still have to be. Although this was expected, it has hit us all hard. I have lit a candle for our beautiful girlie tonight and it is on top of the tv with her ashes in a lovely casket. Bless her heart we knew we only had 6/9 months and she was reasonably comfortable for almost 17. Still hurts like hell though. I guess this is the problem with having oldies. I need time out now. Definitely. Time out from it all (dog rescue) for a few months then I need to make a decision. At the moment I can not think straight. We have lost Max and Mandy in less than a year.
