Mrs Mop Posted September 15, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 15, 2008 All fingers and paws crossed here for Joe Don't worry too much as heart disease is very treatable in a lot of cases. Our Bosun's murmur was off the scale 2 years ago and he was actually diagnosed 4 years ago with a bad murmur. He is now 18 Thank you everyone. The only time Joe has had something wrong apart from the sezures he gets with allergies is when Gracie bit him just after she arrived here. Mrs Mop Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2008 I took Joe in for a scan and they done it while I was doing hydrotherapy with Merlin and Gracie. Joe has a grade 4 heart murmour, leaking mitral valve and an enlarged left ventrical. Anton the vet showed me on a model of the heart what was happening, he also showed me a dog that had a much worse heart problem than Joe on the scan because his showed up better and I was shown the results of Joe's scan. Joe is on frusemide and Fortekor Flavour 5. Joe also says for all the healing thoughts, he is feeling a lot better. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
