I would like to work part time so I could have the house tidier, be able to walk the dogs more, and just live a less manic life. This is actually the future plan in about 2 years time..... once he's qualified, if Matt can find work down here (he's an industrial chemist so it's a bit specialised) then he's selling up, I'm reducing my hours and we'll all live happily ever after. But as we all know, life doesn't always go to plan

I am a systems analyst. Not something I dreamed of when I was a child I must admit but I quite like it. At the moment I get to travel and work in Belfast quite alot.

I suppose would love to work with dogs or if not part time so could have more time to myself.

I work for the University of Leicester as a course administrator/secretary.

I'm not sure what I would be if I could choose, but it would involve being outside, doing something physical and there would have to be dogs and other animals :)

I am a tenancy support worker for a housing association. I visit people at home to help them sustain their tenancies. It's very varied as you could start to support someone for rent arrears, and end up supporting for DV and ultimately moving to other accommodation. Do a lot of assisting with forms, debt management , advocacy, life skills, setting up utilities, finding training, in fact anything that isn't a housing officers role, or not classed as Care. On the whole, I like it, but sometimes feel threatened, and dealing with other people's problems all day can make me feel quite down myself.

I would like to not work at all, and have enough money and time to do other, more interesting things.

I run a firm of Chartered Surveyors (cos I'm one..), I fell into it by mistake, having show far too much nosiness when doing my then bosses typing. I told him one day, I'd have my name above his door and that one day i'd be doing his job. More fool me cos i then went and did it

I wanted to be a police officer. I applied when i was 21, failed the test by 1 point and was asked by them to reapply in 18mths. When the 18mths came round, my boss threw a university prospectus at me and told me he'd pay for me to train as a surveyor... so I had a choice. I chose Uni.

I actually want to run a kennels

I also work in a call center for Royal Lodon/Scottish Life. It's actually ok. I would like a job I could take my dog to work and she could potter round with me all day.

I would ideally no bugger all. I'll need to win the lottery though for that one. Or marry a bloke whose job takes him away most of the time.

My ex is in a band and we joke that now he would be ideal for me as he is on tour so much.

I work for Connexions (not the dating agency) the one that helps young people into work, education or training, thats the official line. However after working there for 3 years I realise that a lot of the time I have to explain to the young people that most jobs don't start at 11 am, don't earn 50 grand a year and they may be required should they not have their own transport, more than one bus journey to get them there.

Not really sure what I ever wanted to be, I tend to work somewhere, get fed up and then move on. :)

I quite like my job - I'm a buyer/sourcer for 30 + engineers, they are a very varied bunch & the day passes quickly with all the banter! It is 2 mins from home so I get to come home to the dingos at lunchtime & not badly paid...but if I had a choice I would rather be working with animals or like someone else said doing no work at all!

I'm retired - ill health due to mismanagement of a completely useless local authority - no interest in my struggling with excessive work load, no help when health deteriorated etc etc. Oops - sorry, attack of being bitter and twisted but I loved the job I had. I was an advisory teacher for pre school children with special educational needs. I worked closely with families and preschool settings. Brilliant job - cr@p employer.

Quite like being retired, shame the "pay" isn't better.

I've just taken a huge gamble and moved into a newish area after years of working with street homeless. I'm working nights dealing with anti-social behaviour callouts. In other words, if you call the police with an ASB complaint at night in one LA area, you'd get me out to deal with it instead of the police. I have all sorts of 'special powers' ( ) from being able to seize stereos/tvs/noise making equipment to fining people £100 on the spot

 I'm paid to be a party-pooper and I love it!
