  1. Huge again. Rainbow Bridge has gained a real ambassador for the breed. He was an absolute star who touched so many hearts. And he landed on his feet the day he landed on your doorstep Could never even dreamed of a home for him like he found with you. Sheelagh is going to call you Margaret. Hopefully she'll be better than I was on the phone If you need to talk, you know my number
  2. Margaret. Have been sending every last healing thought that I have for Merlin since you called. He's such a special boy and he couldn't have found a better home than with you Come on Merlin, please get better.
  3. Oh Terri - they're absolutely beautiful!
  4. OMG I found my soul mate! I have literally hundreds of handbags and am about to thin them out when I move. I have a bit of a thing for River Island bags at the moment - have you checked their site because they have quite a few really nice ones which you might like? I also adore Radley bags and spend a lot of time in John Lewis looking at the bags there (and wishing I had a bigger bank balance!). I got an amazing Olsen bag from TKMaxx a few months back - its like the tardis but doubt the strap would be long enough for you - I like them shortish handles so I can tuck them under my arm
  5. I've been to one of their 'sales pitches' near Gleneagles. You get Mr Nice Guy who tries to sell you this concept then you get Mr Nasty (usually the manager) who comes over and rips the p*sh out of you. In my case he really did sneer and tell me he doubted my children enjoy holidays with me because I take them to boring destinations that weren't child friendly Its very high pressured and I can imagine why some people sign up. I believe the holidays aren't totally free - you have to pay taxes from what I understand, you are under pressure constantly from them. I wouldnt' go back as it was quite a lot to deal with.
  6. Great to hear Gracie is improving Continuing to send loads of positive thoughts
  7. Ooo Hello! When teh server moved I couldn't find the Refuge Met Terri on Sunday and she sent me linky so hello again everyone
  8. Actually when I checked it i was over 4000 dogs in Northern Ireland but I couldn't find the right stats for it so didn't post them I don't know why its so bad in Northern Ireland. As you know I have some experience of the conditions there and no one I've spoken to has ever been able to give a reason for it. In saying that, I do believe there is a lack of rescues there and definitely a lack of people prepared to takew on a rescue dog in comparison to the mainland
  9. Foster home now secured for these girls so thread can now be locked Thanks for everyones help!
  10. See, this is the bit I don't understand about this argument. The North is part of the UK. So does this kind of thing mean that dogs from Scotland shouldn't go to England or Wales to Scotland and so on? Which leads me on to... Is it okay to take a dog from Belfast cos its 'British' but not from Dundalk because its a few miles across the border? ETA: If I recall rightly, around 3000 of the 8000 dogs pts in DT figures were in northern Ireland...
  11. Bumping this to say they have til Friday this week. Rescue will pay for food, vets bills and anything else these girls need if a foster home can be found for them.
  12. Should have said. Dogs are currently in Edinburgh area but as ever, location is less of an issue - the right home for these girls is vital - thanks again!
  13. Hello I have around ten days to find these lovely girls a home. Hollie and Sasha are two "delightful" girls who need a home they can be together and live out their old age. They're both brindle full staffs and both are both described as big staffs which are 'overweight'. Sasha (aged 9): Hollie (aged 6): Both neutered and vaccinated and would suit a home without kids under around 12 years. Both have fabulous temperaments! If you can offer them a home (or a long term rescue space) please contact 01620 82 9711 These dogs are being homed through Staffie Rescue Scotland therefore the rescue's terms and conditions would apply Thanks!
