I am having a great time with this old lad and he such a gentleman when we have visitors. So I hope he finds a home soon as he will quite happily sit on Mikes lap all day and be stroked and that means that the jobs around the house are not being done. Well that's what Mike is saying!!!! 10. I would like to say she was good with cats but as we don't have any cats in our home I am unable to give any information about this. Susie was amazed when she first see Thumper the bunny, she sniff him and watch him go around my friends garden but soon got fed up and went back indoors. Looks like Susie thinks Bunnies are ok to have around but boring. Cheryl & Mike xxx
  11. Hi all After being a transporter for the Oldies club and other rescues for many years, now we have decided to give more help. Losing three of our dogs through old age was heart breaking. I thought that I would love a new dog (one or two) but OH said that we would be better looking after a foster dog so just to let you all know this is my first foster dog. She is a little angel although letting go can be very hard for me, I'm sure that I will shred a few tears along the way. So OH has spoken to Liz and she has agreed to let me have a foster dog after I have fostered one hundred dogs for her. What a task!!!! Sorry don't know how to put the picture on here so this is the link to Sweet Susie http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=2386 Cheryl & Mike xxx
  12. Michelle I'm glad she doing well, Bless her to you both Cheryl & Mikexxx
  13. (The look she gave me when I put her in the car of the next transporter broke my heart.) Just to let you know Ruby was the perfect little lady in the car she was so sweet we could have dognap her. Looks like someone is going to be very lucky. I'm sure she will miss you but Ruby will remember she had a wonderful foster home and nobody can take those memories away from you and her. Big to you and your family. Good luck with the next foster dog Cheryl & Mike xxx

  22. Weather was gorgeous, just what we needed for this walk and the Oldies stall. Liz & family did a wonderful job of looking after the stall, plenty of interest. We didn't have to cook a meal, as there was a Barbie with two expert chefs. Picture from Cher to prove this. We went on two walks one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Thankfully Mike was not allowed to lead. Nice to see Cher with her big family (I could have taken Ebbie home with me). Kaye also joined us with her family and her three dogs. Sky looked pretty, new haircut. Kaye who said “I will have a job to make it there for 12â€. Kaye and Cher arrived before 12 they must have been speeding on the A11 Please to see Mark with the Looney Casper and the lovely foster girl "Pretty Pippa". Lucy the Greyhound and Alice the "Oldies" Terrier was there, along with new boy Toastie who is so sweet. We had to laugh, as although he was deaf he somehow new there was a football just around the corner and wanted to join in all the football games. And we passed several games. Georgina had to retrieve him every time. Bless him We had seven dogs with us so two of our grandchildren Callum & Carla help us they had a great time. We would also like to thank Russ and Trena and their nephew Callum The Hugapup family had a great time and will be looking forward to the next one. It was nice to meet new and old friends.
