  1. morning. Not been around as Dad was rushed into hospital on friday with acute kidney failure and Ive been dashing about like a woman possessed ever sinse. Having established his cancer has returned, he was being treated at one hospital for that, then whisked off to another hospital for his kidneys. No idea whether Im coming or going right now. Worse still, I am booked to go to egypt tomorrow, and every visiting time is a battle as he is adamant I must go and Im adamant I should stay. Think I might need a large implement to help prize my head from out of my @rse right now

  5. Morning. hell of a thunder and lightening storm going on here. Thankfully mine arnt bothered but the kennel dogs are stressing so Ive just put the radios on full belt hoping that will drown it out a bit

  7. morning. I did a tiny bit of gentle weeding yesterday and my sodding shoulder is aching like Id be bench pressing 100kg. Im getting a tad fed up at being useless on one side
  8. morning. The joys of working 7 days a week means monday is no worse than any other day for me
  9. Ramadan began on thursday so your poor neighbour will be without food or drink or a smoke from dawn till dusk (although I think uk muslims go off dusk at Mecca time not ours). You should hear a lot of it for the next few weeks. Try and get yourself an invite for 'Iftar' the breaking of the feast each evening as they dont half eat some good stuff
  10. i understood it. Get out in that rain and get yourself some ciggies before you get the urge to post something deep and meaningfull for gods sake
  11. Out of interest, why would stopping posting here stop you from still reading posts of people you found interesting? There are lots of people come here and read posts who dont post.
  12. if you find the stand that has insects and small reptiles, say hello to the tall beanpole manning it. It will be our dog warden Keiron and he is such a sweetie. He may even have taken his pygmy hedgehog along for the ride.
  13. Yes, they have a huge field just opposite that they use which has plenty of parking space on it
  14. Ive never had the inclination to get married so no use what so ever Im afraid in that department. I had to go and buy a new microwave today as my old one went pop. I aimed for something simple, although I have just done the statutory read through of the buttons and destructions. Im not much wiser but hopefully my jacket spud will be cooked in a few more mins
  15. morning. I wish summer hadnt finished so early. As my builders are taking the roof off in sections, I now have full air conditioning and my own new shower on the landing.... called ruddy great hole in the roof where the plastic sheeting blew off in the night
  16. dont bother, they are both absolutely disgusting and should be re labelled spawn of the devil
  17. evening. Ive had an ace day sorting out a wood burning stove, a kitchen and going to see or rather perv at Eclipse Khanu... I can recommend not having the cortizone injection as it didnt touch my shoulder pain. The naproxen made me a tad spaced out and I struggled to focus on the most simple of tasks. On the bright side, I didnt care whether or not I was focused at the time
  18. Good morning. Today I have a few hours work, and then Im off to look at kitchens for my building site which will one day resemble a house again Im also looking at bathrooms and a wood burning stove. If I manage to get over the excitment of that, Im then off to Liverpool to watch Eclipse with Mr and Mrs Pingu. Personally Im not too worried about the story..... I just want to perv at Jacob for a few hours
  19. Hello I too work with the pointy brigade. I have 15 or so greys here, as I allow RGT Merseyside to use some of my kennels. Quite agree that getting the dogs out to meet and greets is a great way to let the public see how wonderfull they are.
  20. Found a steel pop up one here for £90 ....eckman gazebo
  21. everything crossed for the little man
  22. I have books on my DS but I find when Im in bright sunshine, ie on holiday I cant read the screen. As I read a book a day, one of these things would be ideal, but its a lot of money to spend to discover its no good in the sunshine. In the unlikely event of a sunny day, could those of you with these things go stand in the sunshine and see if you can still read it clearly ?
