  5. I had to deal with Homeserve on a work capacity at one time to find tradesmen in emergencies - they were an absolute waste of space. I'm sure someone on here had unsuccessful dealings with them recently.
  6. It's very sad - poor woman. How would you change the law? You cannot ban a farmer from keeping cows in a field where there is a footpath, it would make his farm unusable if he had a lot of footpaths. Farmers are not allowed to place dairy bulls (the most aggressive) in fields with footpaths. I always avoid fields where there are calves.
  7. Oh brill Chris, I was wondering today how he was getting on. He is

  10. Sandy has left the building! He got on fabulously with Freddie greyhound so he's gone off with his new greyhound brother and sister. Chris and Les who adopted him adopted my Oldies foster Lennie the lab almost 2 years ago - they sadly lost him a few weeks ago. I hope they're all very happy together.

  15. I hope Ange will come along with photos when she's feeling better. Not bad for a dog who had a major op less than 2 weeks ago and is having his stitches removed today eh?
  16. Typical! All going in different directions!
  17. Sandy went for his checkup today - the vet was delighted with his progress. While we were waiting one of the vet nurses came over, she was the one who had got him eating again by handfeeding him chicken. She was delighted to see how well he looked and he made a big fuss of her. Apparently she has a dog very similar to Sandy who has the nickname Dingo - that's what we've been calling Sandy! She said that they'd been very impressed and delighted with Oldies Club giving the go ahead to operate.
  18. It has been really, really bad for the last 2 days, so slow it seems to hang, site frequently can't be found. It took me about 2 hours last night to pm someone.
  19. Happy birthday Spike! Enjoy your steak!
  20. Sandy's back! He came bouncing out of the vets, ate his chicken and rice enthusiastically and is now zonked out on the kitchen floor!
  21. I am collecting Sandy this afternoon The vet is very pleased with his progress.
