  1. LOL Fee, just be greatful Musky didn't struggle and make you go face first in the mud! Why is it the hairiest dog seems to attract the most wet smelly mud?
  2. Not sure if Cindy meant "mad house" or "dog house" but welcome to either!
  3. Yeah come on Mrs...you promised me loads of pics and updates! The house is so quiet here without his snoring (well heavy breathing!) and we have forgotten what time dinner is as he isn't here to remind us!!!
  4. So sad to hear this news ...hugs to you and yours ... you have done right by Emma despite breaking your own hearts...you will be thanked by Emma in her absence in her own way.
  5. Catching up Selina! Hugs to you and the dogs..Ollie is definiately one of the mad house clan! At least you have a good excuse for curling up on the settee with him (my only excuse is that it is getting colder now!)
  6. Oooh Shammi, many happy burpday snogs from us all here and lots of cuddles, make sure you mum reads this to you then nag her for them!
  7. It was great meeting so many "Fugees" and putting faces to names. I apologise to whoever's camera has now broke...I don't do cameras!! As for Todd, well he was tired as he camped the night before and wasn't used to it...that is the excuse I will give him for not being first in the sausage snaffling competition...Toddsmum's fault due to her snoring keeping him awake...I am sure that is what Staffymad said Nice meeting you all and a great day out.
  8. I have nagged erm I mean reminded Cindy to post the photos from the fosterer as they are great!
  9. Wtg...glad to see Ollie made it to you then Selina! LOL.
  10. Oi Libby, Come on .....he has been with you a few hours now! The camera should have charged...so where are the photos? Or can't you get a facial shot cos his head is always in the bin!!
  11. Oooh poor Shammie, big hugs from all here. I am glad your protector wasn't present as I am sure he would have bitten the guys netherregions, and as you know he ain't keen on labs anyway!!! We are not biased at all.
  12. That is great news Elaine and Fee. As for the elderly gent Red Rotties put in touch, I have spoken to him and he has advised me he is after a terrier (small) and the lady's house he rang from would be his means of transport so only interested in local area of Lancs.
  13. Love the photos and Sham's expressions! Yeap Cheesysnot...Sham's favourite I remember well, but she would always clean up after herself and take dusters too, I think she thought she was helping!!!
  14. What a lovely tribute, I can't believe Tango has had year of being batty in the summerlands! The photos are great...come on who else has some to share?
  15. Well at least Elsa's bum don't look big in the robe! As for TRPD...will they ever let us order anything from them again after seeing what OC fosterers do with the goods? Karen shame on you...gotta say this now the boss is back! (I thought it was quite clever!)
  16. Elaine we do have dogs in that are not on the site yet, but are too far for your lady to travel to visit, she is after something local and more specific, like a whippet, which we do not have in our care. Red Rotties you hopefully have my number for your friend to ring so lets hope we have something local or close for him to visit and right type available.
  17. This little lady has gone to her new forever home, she has certainly landed on her paws and is already spoilt rotten!
  18. Oh my goodness. I have just had some people ring up for a local little(ish) oldie for her father as he lost his oldie 10 weeks ago, they were given the Oldies Club number to ring and decided to give me a call as they had just been to the local Dogs Trust with no luck. I mentioned Treacle and they wanted to call in a see her on their way home. They have been and Treacle is now reserved, pending follow up vet visit and their home visit!
  19. Just thought I would let you know that "TREACLE" has settled in really well and very quickly! She is and has been no trouble at all. Even though she has not barked or grumbled, only snoring or moans of contentment, she has her own way of letting us know she wants to go out. She has been vet checked and has come back with a few meds to take for the next 14 days and then to be reviewed. Her age is more around 13/14 years. She is virtually blind by cataracts but this very loving little oldie does not let anything slow her down or stop her from doing what she wants. She is very good at following voice to prevent bumping into things. She is wobbly and arthritic but hopefully meds will help with the pain management. She has warn down and really bad teeth but due to her heart they don't want to do a dental so will try and get these dealt with in other ways! She will make someone a great companion, is very affectionate but is not demanding in any way. She eats well and is definately a flirt where dogs are concerned! She walks all over Casper and has met the cats and thinks it is great to chase them! She loves to sit looking so cute and giving her humans kisses!
  20. Hi Graham and Margaret Great to see you have found your way onto here. Can't wait to hear how Pooch gets on with your friends dogs. The sun is shining brightly on her and I am glad she is training you for your Bronze award!! LOL
  21. Ahhh Ruby Roo ...you can come here and Casper will take your mind off it!! He will get in a right tiz with two of you after him (it must be his fluffy bloomers they like!) The vet won't let you stay Cindy cos you would cause too much mayhem
  22. More of a tart hence trying out the name "Treacle"! LMAO
  23. LOL, you must have posted this the same time I was typing the other thread..oh well..can they be merged? MODS????
  24. Hi Just want to say a bit thanks to RDR, Linda, Jo and Lesley for enabling me to look after "Maxine" for the Oldies Club. (Her name will be changed in due course, sorry, it's just not her!) Her story is that she was picked up as a stray and due to be pts tomorrow, but I saw her picture (I will try not to look on there again!) and ...well, she is here now, safe and sound and....gorgeous! Will try and get photos, if she will stay still long enough!
