    Kennels

The kennels I use are fantastic. Having had several friends turned away from places cos they have Rotts - Moorside is brilliant cos they've had Rotts themselves for 20 odd years so know alot about the breed and with Nel being a tad headstrong he doesnt faze them one bit - and I'm sure he loves going in. Sorry I dont know what breeds you have but the kennels is in Oakworth which is @ 1 hour away from you
  6. Gorgeous xxx Nel and Bhuna say 'hubba hubba'
  7. A friend of mine had to take in a 13, yes 13 year old Rottie girl as her owners were going to have her PTS - their daughter had decided she would no longer visit with the grandchildren if the dog was in the house this old girl had never put a foot wrong. Thankfully after chatting with the owners and their daughter the Rottie was taken back to her home. The situation is dire and I cant see it improving any time soon.

  14. What a fantastic thread - I just had to join in Here's Nelson (Smelly Nelly Yella Belly) - he's 2 1/2 years old and I've had him from 9 weeks. He is a bona fide loon - he loves life - all at 100 mph and I adore him for it. Posing for the camera Luffing that pig And here's Benson ( Bhuna ) - he's 5 in a couple of weeks and we adopted him through ZepTheDep Rottweiler Rescue in May this year. He is the most laid back dog of any breed I have ever met. He greets me with love and gentleness and I fall in love with him again every day - I adore my big man Poker Face Catching the Zzzzzzzz's Both my hearts together
  15. Has anyone read 'The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night' by Mark Haddon? It's the most fantastic book - one of the best I've ever read Here's the blurb Like any good suspense novel, Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time wastes no time getting into the thick of action. On the very first page, fifteen-year-old Christopher John Francis Boone, the novel's protagonist discovers the corpse of his neighbor's dog impaled by a pitchfork. The incident acts as a catalyst, setting Christopher on a quest-inspired by his favorite character Sherlock Holmes-to find out who is responsible for the gruesome crime. Christopher, though, is not the kind of run-of-the-mill precocious young detective we all remember reading about as kids. Rather, Christopher suffers from a fairly intense autism, an affliction that seriously effects the way he comes to research the case, the way he interprets the information he uncovers, and ultimately how that information is passed on to the reader. Christopher's autism is also what sets Haddon's novel apart from those other young detective novels, as the focus of the story is much less about who killed the dog, and much more about the way Christopher goes about uncovering who is responsible.
