hi I'm Janet from Leeds - have been a member here for ages and lurking occasionally but have not been posting regularly for a while. Decided to come back after getting the warning about dormant accounts being deleted! Have three dogs - Grace - 12 year old Maremma Sheepdog, Jake - 6 year old Smooth Collie, and Mirri - our "wild child" lurcher girl - she is about 2 and an absolute honey but still learning to be civil with other dogs..... Hello to everyone - hopefully will post a bit more regularly!

Did one of the pups really fall head first off the sofa at the beginning of the video?? Sounded like quite a bump - hope it was OK! A bit daft to put a load of 7 week old puppies on their own on a sofa.....

On the sheep issue - they could do as they have done in the US and Australia and introduce livestock protection dogs (Maremma, Kuvasz, Anatolian etc). They live with the flocks and generally deter the predators simply by their presence - though they are capable of taking on wolves if needed.

Thank you so much. We let her go this afternoon - it was very gentle and she was ready. I also feel strangely peaceful about it - so sad to lose her after nearly 13 years but very grateful to have had the privilege to share those years with her. She had a huge presence and the house feels empty in spite of the 3 other dogs. I miss her already. But it was the right time and she did not suffer. Thanks for your help in that. Janet

Please could I ask for Reiki for Florence (on the right in this picture). She is very weak, her back end has all but failed and she has laryngeal paralysis which is making her breathing increasingly difficult. I think time is running out for her (am expecting to have to let her go tomorrow) but we could both do with reiki tonight. Many thanks Janet
