Bailey the dalmation at work has a special postman who brings her a chewy every time he delivers (we haven't told her he does it for all the dogs on his round, so she thinks she's speshul). Well today he forgot his chews, so he tried to sneak off without giving her one - she wasn't having any of it, she followed him down the path! Her Dad called her back and she came back all head down, ears back and dejected and sniffing the path incase he'd dropped it:( So her Dad had to get her one of her chews from the kitchen to cheer her up again ;)

Vet check - but also have a look at her nails and make sure they aren't overly long ;)

Our thoughts are with Matthew's friends and family today.

I was happily watching Time Team this afternoon - they were digging on an old 7th century burial site. Found a total of 3 graves - one a 60 year old man, one an 8 year old child, and one a young woman in her 20's, there were more bones in this grave, originally thought to be a baby or toddler. Fascinating, but not emotional to me. Then they turned out to be a dog, and that was it, I was off, blubbing like a good 'un. Am I weird?

Bonnie was speyed when she was 12. Until then she'd always had a sleek but full Collie style coat which really needed minimal maintenance. Within months of being speyed she was a fluff ball - her under coat seemed to keep on growing through her gaurd hair coat, it matts very easily too Missy the Springer was speyed soon after I got her - her brown patches below her 'centre line' have gone fluffy too, but it's quite easy to hand strip them and she doesn't mind.

Well Missy the Springer gave it another go yesterday, then Barney took it back again, dropped it in my bag and asked me very nicely, so I relented and got it out for him

Take one Extra Large Kong and put a Ham and Bacon flavoured disc (from PAH) in it. You have to squeeze the Kong hard to make the hole into a slit so the ham and bacon disc will fit, but then it won't come out. Barney has been trying for nearly 2 hours non stop! And has now crashed out exhausted......

They are lovely, and much as I love our Milton Keynes Concrete cows, they are much nicer.

Nope, he has a fascination for me to (although he would swiftly drive me nuts!) I love his enthusiasm for his product, but how he manages to be commercial defeats me, as he doesn't plan for anything.....

I use the blue Kalms, which are similar (I have used Nytol, but I think they've changed the formula since then). I use them when I'm not sleeping at home, or if I wake several times in the night and get into 'toss and turn' mode - I can feel a more relaxed state washing over me withing about 20 mins of taking them. HTH

Oh no, poor baby Pip

I was dissapointed there are so few towns/cities on there at the moment, but I did find the house OH lived in in Norwich when he was a baby, and the house my Dad grew up in in E17 (Walthamstow), oh, and David and Carrie Grants house, 'cos I went to a party there last month ;)

So much of that applies to Labradoodles too............
