Ruby1Nic
Loulou is our 5th Guide Dog Boarder and to quote Brucie - 'He's my favourite, but don't tell the others!' (We think this everytime we get a new one!) Rubes is her usual non-plussed self. The result being they get on fine as long as he doesnt try to cwtch up to her! so......... Here he is ....... Mr Chicken Legs 1st night settled down Both doing 'the lean' of uncertainty Look at those long legs Ruby has a lovely smile Thanks for looking

JulesB
They are both beautiful Just out of curiosity, do you have to train the dogs over and above what you would expect from a non-guide dog, or do you put the basics in place before he goes off for his guide dog training? Ruby1Nic
They are both beautiful Just out of curiosity, do you have to train the dogs over and above what you would expect from a non-guide dog, or do you put the basics in place before he goes off for his guide dog training? We don't actually do any training per se. We just follow the guidelines that our GD trainer gives us. We have them in their last 12 wks of training whilst they are trying to place the dog with a prospective new owner. (We keep our fingers xd that Ruby's 'entertaining ways' don't rub off on them too much Quick edit - forgot to thank all for replying, thankyou Edited August 15, 2011 by Ruby1Nic
