cycas
Amy has been looking at other options, but it's so hard to find somewhere central, dog friendly with accommodation for everyone, including campers caravanners and B&B-ers... zico's mum
I've been looking as well,it's the B&B bit that's a stumbling block, plenty of camping sites available.I did find one near Salisbury but that's not really central. lil_angel
Its very difficult but after 2 sleepless nights at Cotswold View last year due to that school party Im not wanting to go back there. Ive found a couple of potentials near Bradford on Avon but its not very central.
zico's mum
As there aren't many of us in B&B maybe just concentrate on the camping side and those of us who don't camp can find our own B&B local? What do others think?
lil_angel
I know this one is good as Sarah (Muckyhen) has been there - http://www.bo-peep.demon.co.uk If people who dont wish to camp or caravan could find b&b facilities close by maybe its a possibility. It isnt that far away from the usual site.

houndzrus
I know this one is good as Sarah (Muckyhen) has been there - http://www.bo-peep.demon.co.uk If people who dont wish to camp or caravan could find b&b facilities close by maybe its a possibility. It isnt that far away from the usual site. I stayed there quite a few times last year. The biggest group we had was three tents and the first one there can get a "reserved" board to keep adjacent plots for their friends. Not too manty toilets or showers, but spotlessly clean. There is also a microwave oven over the wahing up sinks. came in very handy for our morning porridge! There is a river passing through which Jack (and a few of the greyhounds) loved. Very dog friendly too. In Banbury (about a ten minute drive) There is a big Sainsbury's and also a chip shop almost next door to a chinese takeaway, so good for all tastes. the takeaway will deliver to the site. There are probably cafes too, There is a small spinney as well as good dog walking onsite too and there are pubs in the village. Here are a few pics, all taken on the site last May. The pop up tent is pitched on the poppy field which we found the most secluded. You can choose anywhere onsite once there though. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=49182&id=1644094558&l=ed3ab687ac http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll265/12marg/bo%20peep%2016th%20may%202010/
houndzrus
just remembered that there is a pub called the plough (a nice walk from the campsite), where dogs are allowed in the garden outside while you might want to have a cream tea. Keith can highly recommend them There is a two scone version available.
owl
That looks a nice site, we would love to come this year if we may. Is it open to all Oldies Club supporters?
cycas
It's open to anybody who manages to get their act together, book and turn up with a tent (or other accommodation solution...) . Seem to remember last time I went there were a few dog owners who knew nothing about OC who were chatting, spectating and Cindy managed to sell them a collar... I haven't been last couple of years, as Molls has had a few health things that I think would have made it less fun for her to do a long car journey. Fortunately she now seems to be be getting younger and more loud and outrageous again for some mysterious reason, so I am thinking we might get our act together and turn up this year too. lil_angel
Phebe you are more than welcome to join us. I have emailed the site and am awaiting a response to a few questions. Mainly do they accept quiet groups, can we go our usual last weekend in June and do they allow day visitors onsite.
