Maria Posted November 29, 2009 Report Share Posted November 29, 2009 Please let yourself be helped Lady Our ex breeding cocker bolted on me one day when I accidently dropped her lead. Luckily she bolted all the way back to where the car was parked, but even though she'd been with us a few months, wouldn't let me approach her to pick up her lead, as she still had a fear of humans I was terrified she would run away further and disappear,and didn't know what to do. Luckily, by opening the car door and moving away from it and not looking directly at her, she eventually jumped in on her own accord, so a lucky outcome for us. Rosies came back to us after 19 days on the run, she was terrified of people too and had only been in her home 2 days. Locals in the area and volunteers from dog lost did so much to help find her, calling in sightings and letting us set traps and going out searching. fingers crossed she comes home soon. A "runner" has just been caught after 3 months, so 3 weeks isn't that long from our point of view, though it must seem an eternity to NESSR.
