I had a phone call last night from Lyn Smith asking me to put this on

our site.

The dog is Sandstar Rocket Man at Hillswick. His owner Lawrie Kedward had

an accident following a heart attack. The police took the dog from the

car on his lead but he was so scared that he got away from them, was hit

by a car then ran off chased by police who of couse could not catch him.

It's the Bristol area.

For anyone that knows the area he ran off in Yate & was last seen going

into an estae there that all roads are bird names. Yate is near Chipping

Sodbury.

If seen do not approach him as he needs to have someone who knows him to

get him back.

Prim Curtis shows him & has been out looking for him. Her phone number

is 01454 238246

If any of you knows anyone in that area that can possibly help it's

urgent as i believe that this happened Sunday night. A very upsetting

time once again & i don't know what has happened to his owner yet.

He was seen heading westwards out of Pucklechurch yesterday morning. His supporters postered the route from there to his home and there was a possible sighting in Mangotsfield last night. His home is in Stapleton, so if last night's sighting was indeed of him, he is only a couple of miles from home.

Laurence is still very poorly in hospital after the stroke which caused the accident. He can't speak much. Prim, the lady who shows Rowan, is the one who caught him with the aid of her own two shelties. Rowan has gone home with her and will be staying there. He is thin and matted but not too bad considering. He will be getting a vet check tomorrow.

Great news. I do a lot of driving in the Pucklechurch, Wick and Lansdown areas as well as Swainswick , Westonand Bitton and have been keeping my eyes open for him for weeks now. I was thinking of him yesterday on my way back from Bath and when coming down Lansdown Hill I had one eye on the road and one eye in the fields. I'm glad he has made it home safely - with a little help from his friends. Amazing when you think how cold it has been.
