That feckin Ridgeback woman :axehead:

I called her and those other ignorant ridgeback breeders something a lot worse than feckin.

I wanted to bang their heads together.

These breeders do not have love for dogs - it's all about their own egos.

I have nothing but contempt for back street breeders - ignorant - lack of compassion - money makers

These toffee nosed morons who call themselves kc breeders are no different.

Shame on them all.

What a showup for the kc.

The blonde dipstick (I am being polite here) has a dog that has a disease that causing terrific pain yet since the dog has been dianosed it had sired over 20 litters. :mecry:

She needs her brain removed.

That was absolutely shocking. I had no idea about Ridgebacks and was in tears over the little cavvies. It's beyond criminal, it's absolutely inhuman. How that silly b*tch with the diagnosed cavalier sleeps at night is beyond me. I thought the lady who is campaigning and the breeder who sits on the health council thingie have some balls - they must get some sh*t from breeders.

It's just awful. Ronnie Irving is so arrogant - he's not going to have scientists tell him how to breed dogs - with him at the head of the KC, there's no hope. I also thought Jeff Sampson was okay before now, but he's just a bumbling puppet.

Fecking shower of s***. There are definately people for whom health is the most important thing but this bunch I fear is pretty typical.

I have found this programme rather difficult to watch so far.

I am fully aware that the worst of the cases will be the ones that are being shown, but feck me- i don't know how the breeders of these dogs can sleep at night.

Nor me :( I had to turn over at times because I found it too distressing :mecry:

That Blonde bimbo with the Cavs needs her eyes gouging with hot sharp knives.

As for the Ridgeback breeders who cull because the pups dont have ridgies is beyond belief. We might as well just cull all babies that dont have perfect blue eyes, or a fatter than they should be.

I thought we had got rid of the Hitler regime???????

Never ever will I visit Crufts again.

I'm just so bluddy angry at the sheer arrogance of some of these people, I'd batter the whole lot of them with a big stick if I could   , how can they even dream to contradict a whole host of professors, geneticists, and the owners of affected dogs.

We looked away at lots of it as it was so upsetting.

If the term 'kc registered' makes people turn away from breeders then this programme would have done wonders.

If those fixed brain moron breeders and the half wits at the kc realised that they haven't talked their way out of difficulties but have made themselves look the ignorant fools they are and all get sacked and knowledgeable caring people put in their place - even more wonders will have been done.

If all the wonderful brave people and the scientist and vets get laws put on the books that full health checks are must for shows dogs and any dog/bitch with inherited disease is nuetered/speyed immediately the dianosis is confirmed - then it really would be wonderful for the dogs.

Will it happen? I doubt it. :mecry:

I have been to discover dogs twice - both times to accompany someone else - not becauase I had any desire to go.

I will never go again no matter who needs an escort or whatever reason.

crufts is a dirty word to me.

I thought linking the KC with Hitler and eugenics in the programme was OTT. I'm not saying breeding practices aren't based on eugenics but alikening the practices to that of the nazi regime takes emphasis away from the argument and doesn't do the overall message any good as it gives the KC something to focus on and be dismissive of.

that muppet from the kennel club needs a punch on the nose. I was appauled that he says they wont impose health checks and more stringent breeding because then breeders will leave the KC. well ummm yes, id like to see that. Then at least if someone is going to buy a dog, a KC dog may have a better chance of being healthy and less people might buy the crap from the non registered breeders

my thoughts exactly!

IMO it came across loud and clear. It is all about the money, not the health of the dogs. Just how "pretty" the dogs would look, not quality, painfree life.

B*st*rds. :mecry:

I am not even sure it's the money so much as the breeders' egos at the end of the day. They all seemed terribly stuck up and set in their ways, totally unable to think for themselves and SEEING what is evident.

Round of applause to the 2 women fighting the problems with cavaliers, all breeds should have people like that digging up the dirt and alerting of potential disasters!

I only wish more people were listening :(

My big fear, as stated earlier, is that breeders of crossbreeds will have a good time selling puppies now. I will never agree that crossbreeds bred from unhealthy parents will be any sounder than purebreds bred from the same! And lets face it, how many breeders of crossbreeds will do health tests, when not even KC breeders can be arsed to!

I felt sick watching the programme. I feel as though I have contributed to the health problems of pedigree dogs because I have one (he is a rescue lab). I felt so sorry for the poor cavs. I am so glad the woman (cant remember her name) has such strong principals and is fighting such a great campaign for cavs, and well done to the breeder who listened to her.
