EGAR
Woman dragged to her death by pet dog A dog walker was killed when her dog pulled her onto a road into the path of a car in Lancashire. The woman, believed to have been 45-years-old, was walking her small white dog along Liverpool Road in Longton at about 10.05pm on Tuesday when her pet apparently pulled her onto the road. She was struck by a Vauxhall Vectra saloon, driving in the direction of Hutton, near the Black Bull pub. The woman suffered a head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Police have not yet named the woman but she is understood to be from the local area. The Vectra driver, Karlis Bredrish, 23, of Walmer Bridge, was unhurt. The dog, called Sasha and believed to be around 10-years-old, ran off following the accident, but was later found and taken to a vet for treatment to a leg injury. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 01695 566486. Story

Jacobean
That's awful. I've been pulled into the middle of the road by Bracken & Fergus in the past. It can happen so easily and quickly. My heart goes out to all involved.

ReikiAnge
That's very sad. I feel for the woman's family and friends, her dog and of course the driver who must feel dreadful even though it was an accident
