Jacobean
Issie seems to have this. Is there anything herbal I can give her rather than put her on yet more medication with the vets?
elricc
I get the human stuff from the chemist, but also I wash with teabags, have used euphrasia in the past from a herbalist.
collies r best
I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but think you can use brolene eye treatment from the chemist. My vet told me to use it when Hector had conjunctivitis, that was a few years ago and i'm positive it was brolene.
Rudi
My vet told me teabags are effective

melissa
Snoopy had it recentley & had drops from the vet...she didn't think she would pass it to Roly...but he got it too just as hers was clear. I was worried that they were going to bat it back and forth between them and imagined one on drops one off for years but have to say with both dogs after 2 days on the drops their eyes cleared up quickly & roly's were really gunky! blackmagic
bathe the eyes with cooled boiled water or cold tea. Use a piece of cotton wool for one wipe only and wipe from the inside of the eye to the outside. Colloidal silver is also very good for wiping on the eyes, one cleaned. ReikiAnge
I've heard bathing the eyes in cold tea is good too
Whizzie
Optrex for Infected Eyes works a treat - about £5 for a dropper bottle from any pharmacist and perfectly safe for dogs
Dizzycharm
We've just had the same problems with ours and as there are 7 of them (and it went round again), we were told use Optrex Infected Eyes from the chemist aswell. Will definately remember the cold tea thing though.
Jacobean
Thanks everyone Really pleased not to have to throw yet more chemicals into her body. I've bathed it in tea and will continue to every now and then and will see what she's like in the morning. I have to go out anyway so if needs be can go to the chemist tomorrow. She gave me an odd look and tried to convince me actually I've misread it and it's a tea cake and she's supposed to eat it.
