boosboss Posted March 14, 2008 Report Share Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) **TRAVEL WARNING** Overnight Closure at Junction 8 (Hemel Hempstead) M1 from 8pm on Saturday 15 March until 2pm Sunday 16 March 2008 The M1 will be closed in both directions for 18 hours at Hemel Hempstead (Junction 8) to allow safe demolition of the existing bridge over the M1. Very long delays are expected and road users are advised to seek alternative routes, use public transport or allow plenty of extra time for their journey. The M1 will be fully closed: - Southbound at Redbourn (Junction 9) - traffic will leave the M1 at junction 9 along a clearly signed diversion route, via Hemel Hempstead, the A41 and M25, to rejoin the M1 at junction 6. - Northbound at Hemel Hempstead (Junction 8) - traffi c will leave the M1 at junction 8 along a local, clearly signed diversion. Natalie34 Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 Sorry I couldn't join you all today in the end my own silly fault, but I wasn't fit to walk, well only if I wore flipflops and that just wasn't practical - I wore some highly crippling shoes yesterday and now have the most painful blisters on both heels have been out with Scooby twice so far .... getting strange looks that I am wearing flipflops in the pouring rain !!
