Kita, Cross Breed Girl With 3 Legs Needs A Home

Kita came into the care of AARU after being involved in a road accident. She was a stray and got hit by a car, then by a road sweeper. Amazingly she only sustained injuries to one of her back legs, which had to be amputated. Kita doesn't even seem to realise that she only has 3 legs - she still runs around just as quickly and loves her walks.

Kita is currently in foster care but is now ready for a new loving permanent home. In foster care she has lived with children (I would say she would be better with children over about 8, purely because she is quite big and bouncy!), cats and dogs. She could be an only dog in the household, or could possibly live with a calm male dog, after being introduced properly. Kita is around 18 months old and is a crossbreed - there is definitely some Akita in there somewhere!

Kita is gorgeous, very affectionate and loving, and she adores being with people. She is crate trained, and knows basic commands. Kita needs an owner who can continue with her socialisation training, someone who is firm and consistent. She has been through so much in her life so far, and she really does deserve to find her forever permanent home.

We are willing to rehome Kita in any area as long as it is the right home. A home check will be carried out and we ask for a minimum donation of £50 to help towards the charity's vet fees.

I do have photos if someone can kindly explain how to post them. Or if anyone is interested, please send me a PM with your email address and I will send a photo via email.

Many thanks.

Is Kita still looking?

I hope not, but if so I am in the process of promoting 'special' dogs in the Stafford area, (see the 'Promoting the dogs' thread in Oldies General Chat). Would you like me to include Kita's details?

Let me know if you do.

Kate :)

We took her off the website as she developed an ear infection. That has been treated with ear drops and she is now raring to go! She is gorgeous, such a big softy, and she loves people. If only someone would go to see her, they would fall head over heels!
