tegk68
Sorry this is rather a basic poll for such a complex question 'when, if at all, should another country intervene'?. Does intervention actually work? and which methods are best? I'm afraid it is an area that I struggle with and am interested in your thoughts. zico's mum
Having lived through several "occupations" by another country - Israel in Lebanon - my answers are never.Thousands killed,Lebanon's infrastructure badly damaged - and what was the outcome - nothing except yet more hatred of an old enemy. Sheplover
I think in situations like Zimbabwe and Darfur then *something* needs to be done, there needs to be a UN force/African Nations force to end the genocide and deaths of thousands. greyhound pal
I can't vote because I think its much more complex than that. But I'm thinking the British knew for a few years before liberation about auschwitz, had plans of the place, knew exactly where the gas chambers were and did nothing. The bombed a factory making munitions just a few miles from Osweicim village not caring about civilian casualties there...
