  2. good luck and lots of happiness for whenever you decide to get your new friend x
  3. we have a Barjo tailgate guard, its brilliant. It means that if I am setting up the caravan etc I can leave the tailgate open for ventilation but they can't jump out.
  4. so sorry Wendy, sleep peacefully lovely boy x
  5. Sadly we are now not going. I do hope everybody has a lovely time x
  6. for you Lynne. You are not replacing Daisy, just making room in your heart for another dog. You will know if it is the right one for you and Duncan. x
  7. That is wonderful Margaret,WELL DONE to everybody concerned with helping those dogs x
  8. I have just found an OC collecting box that I used for the Sainsburys collection. x
  9. I have one in every room, the dogs love their one in the dining room. Mine are virtually silent and i got them from Homebase. The one downstairs does make my bedroom floor vibrate a bit tho! x
  10. its fun. http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/tmt/instructions_1.shtml I got 92% on recognition and 70% on sections, which is totally amazing for someone with a terrible memory like mine. Faces must stick! x
  11. thank you, its been a lovely day so far x
  12. we divided ours in half and paved the front bit and left the back as lawn with an ornamental fence in between so that the dogs can only use the grass when I let them. That way they still have the grass to run on in the summer but no mud in the winter. We just have flowering bushes around the edge of the grass, plain and basic but it works for us.You can't see much of the patio on this one but it is large
  13. I think a public "name and shame" is a great idea x
  14. Brilliant cliff top walks with Jacky, her friends and loads of free running dogs. The inside of the cottage had one double mezanine bedroom but two double futons downstairs. A welcome pack of fresh eggs, home made chocolate cake etc. It was all clean but very dog friendly,we weren't worried about dog hairs etc. The owner is so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend it,we had a great holiday and its cheap!! x
  15. I couldn't find how to do the link but its called Rhyd Y Felin,Anglesey. This is the cottage on the right, with fully enclosed gravel frontage. free use of the garden, plus fresh eggs from resident hens. fantastic empty beaches
  16. That is horrific and heartless. Surely one person on a council can't have that much power! I hope the head of the committee hangs his/her head in shame and the decision is overturned. x
  17. I just showed the ex owner some pics of dogs and what she thought was a Pom was in actual fact a Scottie! So mum is supposed to be a Chi x Scottie, what a mix. They are both now wormed a de flead and pup is snuggled up in a crate in my room after eating well. mum is happily pootling around the garden with the rest of the mob
  18. this little girl came in today, guess the breed. The lady paid £500 for her as a chihuahua x pom but I think that is very far fetched. She is emaciated, wormy and very timid at the moment but will soon be ok. x with her chi x puppy and my Miffi to compare size.
  19. Barb (Chastas mum) has taken it and has extended her stay to a week. Its a fabulous place. So sorry Brenda, but it is up for let on the normal rates. x x
  20. I went to one on Anglesey that Jackysian recommended and it was brilliant. We took 4 dogs and the lady who owns the cottage lives next door and is a rescuer with about 5 dogs I think. We were made very welcome. There were some brilliant off lead walks and a fantastic beach with nobody on it just down the road a bit. The courtyard to the cottage is fully dog proof too. I have loads of pics if you want them x
  21. all I know is on the link and the following statement. Spotlessly clean, Wales Tourist Board 5 Star self catering country cottage, located yards from the River Wye in the heart of Mid Wales, near the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells. This wonderful 2 bedroomed cottage is for people seeking quality accommodation in blissful surroundings and has many amenities including bedding and towels, central heating, complementary Welcome Pack, free wireless broadband, and both bedrooms have en suite facilities and hairdryers. The holiday is subject to availability in low/mid season and pets are very welcome. http://www.holidaycottageinwales.com/index.html if there are any particular questions i can ask. I have paid for it so it is mine to pass on. x
  22. Lynne I am so sorry,my heart goes out to you. Sleep peacefully Daisy x
