  1. OOOOOhhhh Scarey - glad its gallstones and not your heart. Hope you feel better now. SIL had gallstones and had them removd by surgery - she was in agony with them. Be careful what you eat as they can flare up at any time.
  2. What does Seratone 5-HTP do?? Or the Angus thingy. I dont need contraception as I have been fixed but need help with the PMT
  3. My lovely lovely hubby has arranged for us to go to Longleat next Friday for a VIP day The park is shut at the moment but we get taken round by the rangers in the zebra jeeps all up close and personal. Cant wait. Only downside is that if the weather is really bad they cancel and it is a long drive from here - so please can everyone hope that 23rd is going to be like a spring day!!!
  4. I have never suffered PMT until this past year - Im 47 now. Still have regular periods - no night sweats or any of the other meopause symptoms but I know that I need to get this in check. I start feeling "funny" mid cycle and by the time Im due on - I hate the world - which is a totaloy new experience for me. If anyone has any suggestions I would be glad of some help too.

  9. Its a bit of a drive but St Lawrence is quite good
  10. Izzy, Hun, Flynn and POlly would like to say a big thank you to Sparkle for their SS parcels, we had balls flying everywhere and the hot dogs looked so good to eat I had to stop middle son from cutting open a roll and getting the ketchup out. Portia, Sparkey, Holly and Harry would also like to thank Yantan for their pressies - Harry took control of the pink mouse and threw it out the window hotly pursued by Sparkey The girls decided to stay behind and eat the munchies Thank you also Yantan for my lovely book it was very kind Thank you to our SS organisers - it is such great fun and brings our little community closer together.
  11. I know that one of my parcels has arrived safely has the other ????
  12. Do you want me to pop round and take doglets out????
  13. Izzy, Honey,Flynn and Polly say thank u SS for their parcel which arrived safely today
  14. Hi Jules Sorry the job isnt what you expected but Im sure you will have plenty of supply work to keep you going. Just being nosey - this isnt the famous hospice near us that you are talking about surely???? Although if it is Im not surprised!!
  15. My beautiful beautiful FIL finally slipped away yesterday afternoon Thankfully now he is no longer in any pain and died with his whole family around him.
  16. Wendy My Mums labx seemed to wait until she was asleep before going to the bridge. I can only think now that she waited until she knew Mum was safe in her bed and didnt want Mum to see her go and then Mum did the same with us. She hung on whilst we were with her stroking her "bridge dogs" and then as soon as we went to speak to her consultant, she went. Sometimes its not us that have to be brave, sometimes it is our dogs - they can only rest when they know we are safe and then they let go. I havent had time to catch up with everyone - but my thoughts are with you all. FIL is still here bodily but his mind is now somewhere else and I can only hope that it is somewhere nice. He is very poorly now but the doctors arent sure what is going on The MRI has revealed that the tumour hasnt grown back but he is asleep all of the time and drifting in and out of conciousness, They wanted to do a lumbar puncture on him Tues but decided that he wasnt well enough. They are thinking that the cancer has spread to the meninges but without the LP cant be sure. He doesnt want to eat and is only sipping small amounts of water. He is now bed bound and helpless. We are hoping to get him into a local hospice but they cant offer him a place until they know for sure what is wrong. Caught between a rock and a hard place at present. Freddie has gone to a retired couple. MIL text me to say that she thought it was for the best and thanked me for offering to have him. To say I am angry with her is an understatement. BIL is so upset, but couldnt cope with him - he is working 12 hours shifts as a paramedic plus going to the hosp to see Dad. His partner works in the City and is gone for 12 hours at a time. This was all done before I could do anything and I dont know where he has gone. OH is upst for his Dad and I dont feel I can burden him any further. I will when I feel I can speak calmly try and find out where Freddie is, but for the moment all I want to do is boil her head Ive done my SS parcels with the help of my lovely daughter and these will be posted out this week. Big to everyone who needs them. Holly cat is still hanging on - the vet thinks that her kidneys are packing up but at 18+ I dont want her pulled around, she has only been to the vets twice in her life and found it all very scary. She is still eating well and still swiping at the dogs, but is very very thin and a bit unsteady on her feet. I cant believe that Portia who is 3 years older than her still looks and acts like a kitten and poor Holly is poorly, I think Portia will outlive all of us. Shazzy xxxx
  17. Just popping in to say hi to everyone. Dogs are fine - Izzy was a bit pizzd off that the snow only lasted 30 mins - she has been outside waiting patiently(or not) for a couple of days. Cats are not too bad although Holly cat is showing her age and I think is preparing herself for Rainbow bridge. She is approx 17 now and is not eating as normal and pooing a bit uncontrollably but we have paper everwhere for her. She is still swiping the dogs if they get a bit unruly FIL is in hospital now and sleeping most of the time HE is having another Scan tomorrow to see if the tumour has grown again. He is getting quite confused and tetchy and his botty is sore where he is sleeping all the time I will know more tomorrow hopefully. Apart from that Im afraid I dont have much time to get on here but anyone who has asked for a h/c or follow up I will get them done by the weekend - to be honest it will be a welcome distraction. to whoever needs them. to all
  18. Well done Sarah - he is stunning Can I see Bertha in the background???
  19. My lovely boss has left it to me this year to get our Xmas Company cards and I want to get them for a rescue. We are not a huge company but I would rather the money went to a dog rescue (and so would he as he and his wife have a beautiful lab - called Buster). We may only be talking about 300 but can anyone give me ideas???? As usual we have left it all rather late -
  20. The Virginian - how old am I !!!!!!!
