I suspect either santa or the robin had a few too many over christmas,coz we never got a message but just to confirm we received parcels for Gizmo and Danny but not for Purdy who was also nominated . Huge thanks to Safneo and the Merledogs for the parcels, the dogs really enjoyed them and i will post pictures as soon as I get the camera sorted.

Parcels received for Danny and Gizmo. Many thanks to the senders Gizmo is currently in a foster home so still doesn't know about his parcel, Danny however is staring at his and keeps stomping around and asking why he has to wait until Christmas when he wants it NOW!!!

We tend to use these spladesmost of the time and they will certainly manage with some meat like chicken but they might struggle with beef or steak.

Brilliant. Everybody laughed at me when I improvised with a lycra swimsuit on a bitch that had drains in from a mammary strip but looking at this pet shirt, I wasn't that far off the mark. Only advantage is that the "proper" version opens at the back for necessaries unlike mine which needed to be removed. Must find out about prices for them.......

Once got a phone call from our vets saying "your dog is ready to go home and please can you get him NOW because the vet cant start afternoon consults till he goes home because he cant hear what clients are saying over the din" Never seen an official version but everyone used to laugh at me for putting an old swimming costume on a bitch to keep them off the stitches. Might have looked a bit odd but it worked. Guess someone else beat me to the patent for that idea though.

By 'eck that was quick My scarves arrived this morning and are absolutely gorgeous. I am now in a state of inner turmoil as to whether I actually want to give away the two bought for my mums birthday or be greedy and keep the lot

They also do a vegetable curry and a chickpea tagine in the veggie options. you need to go to the select a hamper and then select meals options to see the full list. The veg curry is lovely but the chickpea tagine is new so I havent tried it yet (have two in my new hamper to come this week though) They recommend 2 portions of fruit and one of vegetables per day plus 120ml semi skimmed milk as a daily add on to come under the 1200 calories a day but I am sure that adding extra fruit/veg in moderation is going to be OK. All the meals have a good amount of veg in anyway so that would help with the 5 a day.

Glad you like it Sam, it is rather fab isn't it Promised not to lurk so as I am here last weeks loss was 1.7lb. Not spectacular but all going the right way and at least this diet isn't making me feel starved.

According to the thread about this girl currently running on RHU, people are already in communication with the owner to try and get her out. I believe there are also offers of rescue places if she can be got out.

They are yummy Sam. 3 weeks into it and lost 9 pounds so far. The soups are gorgeous. Everything really does taste home made and from "real" ingredients. Nothing remotely fake or chemical and all just a few minutes in the microwave. Am actually eating a very tasty vegetable curry whilst typing

Thanks Ange Update from the vets is that Frankie has a badly broken back leg and some nasty lacerations and is dehydrated and in shock but thankfully no signs of any internal injuries. She is on IV fluids and antibiotics and will be stitched up and have the leg set later today once she is rehydrated. The break is nasty and may need a refereal for specialist pinning but we wont know for certain for a while. The good thing is that, although nasty, non of her injuries are life threatening so she should be OK. Thanks to everybody that has helped, crossposted or just sent nice messages. It is much appreciated.

As a result of a sighting reported to the dog warden this morning Frankie has been found and her mum is with her now. Frankie has what appear to be 2 broken legs and is on the way to the vets. Not as good an outcome as we hoped but at least she has been reunited and fingers crossed will make a good recovery. Will update when I hear more.

Frankie, 6 y/o B & T GSD x was hit by a car on her walk tonight and has bolted. She went missing from close to her home in Scarletts Road, Colchester, CO1 2EZ but the police have had reports of a loose dog several miles away so she could be anywhere. Nobody currently knows how badly she may be injured. Owner and half the neighbourhood are out searching and the police and emergency vets have been informed. Frankie is wearing a collar and tag and is also microchipped. Frankie is a PFK dog we rehomed 3 years ago. Any information or sightings we can be contacted at any time on 01353 777399.
