  1. Iam 27 years old and i really enjoy brass band music and orchestral music. I belong to a bras band so that has alot to do with it. I really enjoyed listening to that msic you put up in the first post. I am pretty open to most music to be honest, i like alot of the old 70's and 80's music, not too keen on all this dance music stuff tho.
  2. Thankyou for the warm welcome back will try and get on a bit more often and not leave it so long this time lol
  3. And here's my two boys together
  4. Hi everyone. I last posted on this forum back on 28th October 2009!! Its been a long time! Well i thought i'd pop in and say hello again and hope that some of you may remember me? Well life has been hectic to say the least LOL Since i last posted we have another doggie addition to our family!!! Bandit, he is a whippet pup, who is now 9 months old. I got him in January aged 8 weeks here's Bandit aged 8 weeks Bit bigger aged 8 months
  5. Owen, my greyhound is on the grey and lurcher food and is thriving on it. Supapoo was great for firming his poo but he was pooing about 10 times a day which i dodnt feel was really good for him (and us) His motions are softer on the lurcher and grey one bt he doesn go half as much! I buy mine in 15kg bags and get it wholesale I pay £11 for it compared to £24 for the sensitive
  6. We have burrowing bees too. They live in the ground and are solitary bees although they may live many to one area.
  7. I thought long and hard about this subject last night and got myself so wound up i couldnt sleep. Ive had the runs and sickness since yesterday as has my little boy. Im hoping its just a tummy bug, but got me thinking about wether OH would be able to cope with everythig if i was ill. Dog would be fine as he is primarily OH's dog (try telling the dog that tho!!!!) and OH feeds him and walks him most of the time. But as for the lizard and rabbit, not sure he'd manage that, or the kids!
  8. Sounds like our region isnt as organised as other places. We only have 2 places to go, one is the county hospital and the other the health centre
  9. evening all. my friend rang this morning to tell me she has swine flu and could i be her "flu friend" and go and get her Tamiflu. Yes of course i will i said. I was told only to collect between 3 and 5 pm form the local health clinic. Thinking i would go down there, hand over the forms and ID and be given the tablets WELL: I went down there, gave friends name and told to take a seat, but i would be in for a long wait as there were about 18 ppl before me. There were ppl there that had already been sat there for 1 1/2 hours waiting! The average wating time was to be 2-3 hours. bear in mind clinic was only from 3-5!!! and i got there at 3.50pm i waited an hour and and had to leave as there were still 15 ppl in front of me. People were getting irrate, and started kicking off, which i can fully understand. One man had come about 40 miles, and not been told he needed ID for his son aswell as himself. so he had to travel all the way home to have to come back to the clinic this evening. He said his son was very young and was at home VERY ill, and he'd already been turned away from the hospital the night before, but they refused to accept his ID faxed through. If things are at pandemic state, why the hell is it so hard to get hold of the drug???????? It scares the life out of me to be honest. My little boy is 9 months old and young children go down hill so fast, and yet its so hard to get hold of the drugs to treat them. Luckily my friend now has her Tamiflu tablets as her mum had to go to evening clinic.
  10. Sending lots of stay in place little bean thoughts. My sister had periods right up until she was 5 months pregnant. Try to relax and rest as much as you can
  11. My close friend has been diagnosed with swine flu this morning. I have to go pick up her prescription. So now its a case of watch our baby boy like a hawk as he is vunerable to things like this (you may remeber he was in hosp at 2 weeks old really poorly) Im not bothered about getting it myself, but i do worry about my children getting it
  12. Yep DEFINATELY only a foster
  13. Lovely pics. Merlin is lovely
  14. Hope you dont mind me posting more pics of Queenie my foster dog She really is the perfect greyhound and i am going to find it very hard to let her go ill admit. She loves to play ball and will play it all day if she could. She never leaves my side even when out on a walk, i can put her on the training lead and she will just plod along beside me stuck to my leg! anyway, enjoy the pics of the gorgeous Queen B
  15. Yes, no problem. We've had her only one night but so far: Shes had no accidents in the house at all, not even over night, so i think we can safely say she's housetrained. She is fine with other greyhounds, not too sure about other breeds, but when shes been out to meet and greets shes been perfect, even with the smaller dogs. She hates cats so cant live with them. She absolutely adores Kids. She is a theif and will nick any food that is left lying around! LGT will only home within a 50 mile radius of lincoln though, so that homechecks can be carried out and follow ups can be done. I know this makes homing a little harder, but it is all for the interest of the dogs

    Owen Pics

by popular demand, heres some more pics of Owen, doin what he does best and doing what he hates lol
  18. Queenie is a retired racer, shes with me in Lincolnshire on behalf of the LGT. Shes not cat friendly unfortunately so needs a home without any cats.
  19. yep, fraid so. I really couldnt afford to keep her forever, as much as i would love to as i am very much in love with her
  20. Its now a month since we adopted Owen and he's a perfect dog! while we were looking for a dog, we saw this little lady and i fell in love. We couldnt take two dogs at once and this lady had a few vices which were not good for our home situation. Well, 1 month later, she has proved herself to be a totally different dog to the one that came into kennels. so Yesterday she came home with me to be fostered till her forever home comes along. I have to keep repeating to myself that i cannot fail! so please say hello to Queenie (or as i call her Queen B) Shes a blue brindle and is 4 yrs old. (please excuse quality of pic, its on my phone)
  21. If you buy it through Laura on Greyhound gap forum, GG will receive 50% of the money http://greyhoundgap.proboards.com/index.cg...mp;thread=33486
  22. Are you watering your courgettes from above? If you are, dont! Stand them in some water if in tubs for about 10 mins, then take out and allow to drain. If in the ground, put the water around the base of the plants avoiding the leaves Also you could try spraying with a milk/water mixture 1pt milk to 9 parts water apparently
