I am so sorry Billy , sending loads of :GroupHug: to you all , i know what Mal means to you and i know what you will be going through right now but as others have said please try to make the most of every moment you have with Mal and store as many happy memories that you possibly can in the time he has left with you , we are all hoping that will be a while yet sweetie and we are sending as many positive vibes as we can . Funny before i voted No it was sitting at Yes 856 62% No 520 38% I voted No and in the pop up window it said Yes 870 61% No 551 39% But when i come off the page and go back to it it still says what it did origionally i am confused and no i have not had a drink yet :laugh: Fiona xx

Aww i know just how you feel , i have always felt the same about Storm with the wrong people he would quite possibly have been PTS by now if nobody had taken the time to understand him and help him overcome his issues , poor misunderstood guy . I want to thank the Dog Aid Society for allowing me to foster Storm even though they had reservations as he was branded everything aggressive and they worried about Akira's safety with him being such a huge guy if things went wrong , thankfully everything worked out fine between them and it has ben a joy to see this scared unhappy lad blossom into the happy well mannered boy he is now Fiona xx

I have been up or hours , the slow cooker is on the dishes are done from last night, the floors have been swept , it was too early to hoover but i did thing abut it , i even had the washing machine on at the back of 5 I do hope i havent caught some dreadful organized housewifey type bug thats would not be a good start to 2008 Just as well i dont get hangovers :laugh: Hope everyone else is as lucky as me after having a bit to drink last night getting up fresh as a daisy has to be a bonus and so not deserved :laugh: Kazz so chuffed for Mandy , she knew she had found her forever home when she came to you and i think a lot of us knew it too Fiona xx

I can see and hear the fireworks going off in Edinburgh all the way accross the forth , the dogs are not too bothered because they are not close by and thankfully the muppets have not started letting them off here yet , but still time yet i suppose Fiona xx

I too have sat on my hands all the way through this thread . we are all very much aware that a child has lost his life and on the whole everyone has expressed their regret/sympathy for the wee lad and his family but as dog lovers we are all too aware that this type of media frenzy can only have a really bad effect on the breed of dog involved because narrow minded stupid people insist on blaming a whole breed for the actions of one dog . We do not know and probably never will get the fuill facts of what actually happened but we all know it was a tragic accident . Meandmy4 you have been advised to go and educate yourself on the fight against BSL i suggest you do it , and just in case you did not know , the french woman that had the first ever face transplant was attacked by her own dog , would you like to hazard a guess at the breed ? Was it a so called Devil Dog ? No it was her own pet Labrador , does that mean all labs should be targetted and slagged off as a breed for the actions of one? A few years ago 2 jack russels killed a baby , were they all then classed as dangerous dogs? No , as others have said any breed of dog could depending on circumstances act in a dangerous way , but that does not make the whole breed dangerous . Tragically children die in all kinds of accidents all over the world every single day , car crashes , at the hands of their parents etc etc etc but when it is a dog that causes a death for what ever reason under what ever circumstances the media goes into a frenzy baying for blood it sickens me and a lot of other people on here who all love dogs and have taken the time to understand their behaviour . Another point to consider is would anyone in their right mind leave a child in a room alone with a loaded gun or a very sharp knife ? By themselves a gun or knife is not dangerous but they can be . Car crashes are another thing that happen every day people are killed and maimed on the roads , A drunk driver kills a family through their own sheer stupidity of getting behind the wheel under those circumstances would it be acceptable to ban a certain make of car because an idiot got in the drivers seat ? maybe it was a BMW would it be sensible to ban all BMW's ? No u punish the fool in charge of the car not the make of car . Education in being a responsible dog owner is not something that comes naturally to some people but if they are willing to learn a hell of a lot of these kind of incidents could be avoided BUT there will always be accidents for which there is nobody to blame at all . Actually you are quite lucky if the RSPCA can help you with £100 of the costs i had my Pyrnean Mountain Dog Bitch spayed and it cost me about £240 , which included a special kind of anethtetic as Pyr can take a bad reaction , i am on benifits and am not in an area where there is any help available but i managed to pay for it myself as i saw it as something she needed done for her own good . I think if i was you i would ask around a few vets in your area as the price you have been quoted does seem rather high for a much smaller dog Fiona xx

I went at about 3AM Billy ours is open 24 hours , and for once the shelves were stocked and i got everything i went for except sweetcorn relish , which is a shame as we all love it , not very xmassy right enough . I am just glad the shelves had been stocked , i always go through the night at this time of year as i just cannot cope with crowds of shop till you drop people who seem to think the shops are shut for a fortnight judging by the amount of stuff they stick in their trollys Fiona xx

aww there she is 8 all ready ? Wow it certainly makes you wonder what happens to the years eh ? Akira is 3 and a half now and Storm is 5 , they are doing really well Sharon , Storm can still be a b*gger but he is such a lovable b*gger i cant complain , when i think how far he has come over the time he has been here, and how much he has changed from the scared boy he was at the start Akira ? What can i say about her ? , She is still very much the same little miss fizzy knickers she has always been :laugh: she still has "the look " and still decides in her own time if something she is asked to do is worth her while or not as the case may be , but i love her to bits just the way she is Will look forward to more pics Fiona xx
