  1. Isn't your deposit with one of the legal schemes? You may have to hassle for paperwork to show them ,, from the mortgage co. If the house is reposessed your ex- landlord cannot except any payment for same. If whoever granted you permission to remain until a given date ( i.e. the court ) didnt make an order for any payment you are on a winner, legally.
  2. Did you get a chance to approach the mortgage people to discuss the possibilities. I do know of a couple of cases where the illegal tenants has ended up with a good deal. Anyway all the best with the new house.
  3. I love my heavy expensive industrial Sebo, but have to admit that I have small hand held Electrolux with an integral rotating brush that will fill pick up loads after doing it with the Sebo. The problem with the snallers Dysons is that have a heat resistor cut out switch which is designed not to lose suction (by switching off). If the rubber band around the filter housing is missing or worn it often run hot and permanently switch off. They can be workled around although easy to replace.
  4. Oh I am so glad that you have come away from the Prozac! Now in another area I have some knowledge--men of a certain age are best dealt with as if they were 13.
  5. I am sorry to start a new topic but the old one was closed before i could reply I cant really make out what you are saying I have done a lot with Dogsblog and have NEVER seen a non -rescue or private rehoming on it it I may be wrong. I realise they are all dogs ,I can see the clue in the name. I dont think in this case we anyone is looking for quantity I maintain what I said Dog pages do have quite a few private homings there is a special section. My point is that do seem to get interest from those that are willing to take on dogs that have special requirements laid down by the owners that some may find difficult to appreciate-- hence my example. Whay we are looking for in this case is a person willing to go the extra mile not just a whole host of people that want evrything done for them and made easy.
  6. 3 months isnt long , my Texas waited four years. The thing is about Dogsblog is that it is a list of rescues, what you really want is Dogpages My link It works better all around. There was recent case wher the sorted out a real problem collie and its owner, eventually. I would leave this thread open though. Actually Aslan was moved because he was being a bit norty at one rescue, so goes to another, he was "saved"a while ago and wasnt really under much threat of PTS, where he was.
  7. Cycas is (once again) making some very sensible and well thought out reasoning there. I have to say I was a bit put off by the wording, even though I would never qualify as I dont have big dog experience and the house and garden are rather small. It is well worthwhile continuing to interest Rescues. Big dogs can be found spaces. My SO is running the famous Aslam ( hugest of the huge ) from Lancashire to Norwich today, so there are places about. Keep the thread going , updates and pics; many of us are usually quiet but wishing you all of the best

    Urgent!

Says it all really. Are there any signs of a concerted programme or any organisation by dog haters? ( this could be construed as a conspiracy) I am all for access to the land and the right to roam but dont like to see it hijacked by the AntidogTaliban.

    Urgent!

But make sure they dont con him with porkies or suggestions along the lines "well the easiest thing all around" . Nothing must be signed or anything done "voluntary", or anything handed over no matter how much pressure or threats are made. If they cant sort it straight away , (if its a country area) they will go over the time allocation and forget it. And dont forget to say there will be counter sueing for trespass , crimiminal damage to property and cruelty to dogs plus a larrge amount of damages for the upset ( ie in pieces) Plohkers will usually back down when they hear this.
  11. Thanks for showing us. He does seem to like it. How is it working ? Does it stay inplace, without the harness? The problem I have with my beast is that although we are well on top of the infections , we still have a long way to go on breaking the overlicking and scratting when bored habits.
  12. First of all I am surprised at you being given Prozac. very surprised. Many doctors even my own, are going with Mirtazapine or Citalopram in the longerterm , with constant reviews. I am told that this is because it avoids many of the side effects of Prozac (much written about) In my own case acceptance of a bizarre reality seen by others as dangerous. I am not surprised that you gave work difficulties, prozac isnt really good for work. Maybe your doc has reasons; but I would have expected a long period of signing off. Yes get a union or at least go to an employement law specialist solicitor. You may be going through "contsructive dismissal" or they may be trying to get around "redundancy law". From what you have explained you already have a variety of grounds to go to an employment tribunal. Give them a ring , they are nice people and will advise you.

    Hold It!

Wow. What wunnerful stuff. Thanks! One of the food is justwhat I have been looking for.
  14. Our thoughts are with you at your loss.
  15. So sad. Thinking of you!
  16. Evidently , a couple of months ago a large (ghost) rottweiler of sherlock holmes proportions lived in the same house .
  17. My link Our favourite dog haters , pleased with their election results start the new underhand campaign; to get there awful message across. Has any seen any other activity ?
  18. Oh poor thing. So it sounds like a dermatitis from autoimmune sytem failings. Look forward to the pic.
  19. As an interim measure why not try stockinette (from painters shops) It comes in a huge tubular roll so you can just cutoff what you need , use and then dispose off Whereabouts is the poor thing anyway , probably too far for me to make anything for you.
  20. canine capers Its in Sunday at the Memorial park Coventry. Teddy is going ,, his dad is filming a trailer for the dementia people.
  21. But its great fun. The first time I cleaned am mattress with UVC vibrating lamp , I was really not convinced, but the amount of stuff that came out was amazing and looking at the little blighters under the microscope - wow I only started taking an interest in hygiene ( other than was necessary in the music business) when Teddy Texas came to live with me. He has a very thin coat and is very susceptible to all kinds of carpet borne problems especially yeast infections . Suddenly I had to learn about all kinds of chemicals and machinery in order to stop him scratching. It was a quest that led me amongst some very interesting people mostly among people who clean up crime scenes, murder, suicide and those awful places where the drug taking is done ( they all watch CSI). All the stuff the Army taught me about dead bodies in the 1960s came flooding back. Anyway I have managed to get on top of all of the airborne nasties, although its a constant fight. Teddy texas is not now covered in red weal and broken skin from itching, and its also improved my own breathing so much that the doctor reckons I may have a couple more years ( I have asbestosis), so cant be bad. If any one needs and cleaning advice , help or machine loan, yard power washing, parvo cleanups or crisis cleaning in the house, I am always happy to help for free or for a small donation to relevant rescues. We have just been donated two big poop vacuums machine, so if anyone is organising a cleanup give us a shout( if you are near Birmingham and I can get transport) Sorry just had to have a plug, but nothing ventured nothing gained
  22. How does she know she is allergic to anything. Has she had a series of skin tests to ascertain the causes of whatever symptom she has, or is just working an a series of time embedded surmising. I am ruling out the usual cause of dog allergy (needing to tel l a fib to get out of doing somethings) Real allergy to dog is extremely rare. Dog owning can make an existing allergy worse- the dander harbours and encourages the human dust mite, which is the real cause. When were her soft furnishings and mattresses last cleaned. In this day and age only a monthly UVC cleaning will start to make any inroads into the number dust mites in an ordinary mattress. Has the family vacuum been overhauled? Allergies are a bit like smelly wind --its easier to blame the dog.
  23. Good bye old chap; we will miss hearing about you.
  24. To save somebody having to push the chair around the living to make sure TT is getting full Sun; he has had a chair put in the garden for the warmer days. He is waiting for the cushion.
