  7. I'm so sorry, it's heartbreaking, you showed her so much love and what a great little character she sounds, you were both very lucky to have had each other. She can run around free from pain and play with our other lost loved ones. I have taken comfort knowing that when it's my turn to leave earth, I know Tessie will be the first one waiting to greet me, and I'm sure Gracie will be the same with you x x
  8. Yay - I'm happy with any of the venues - BOA is closest, but I love Westonbirt and after scattering Tessie's ashes there, it has an even more special place in my heart, but we go there quite a lot, so happy to go to any of those suggestions. Can also make any weekend in October so far apart from 24th (friends wedding) x x
  9. Hey everyone I'm going to aim to get there to start setting up at 8.30 - but the table cloths are at work, so I'm hoping the office will be open at 8am - if not, I'll come to the stall first anyway, and can always get the table cloths once I've unloaded and someone is there to help get started - hope thats ok! Really looking forward to it - its actually about 25 mins from my house - its between Corston & Marksbury if anyone else is thinking of popping along xx
  10. I have been asked by a friend to see if I can help find a home for a 6 yr old Bengal Cat - the owner is emigrating abroad. The cat is up to date on vaccs and is neutered - if I recall, is a female Bengal. I don't know any more - but if anyone can also suggest any Bengal rescues, that would also be of great help - the one I found on the internet can't take any more in at the moment, and I also would like your advice on reputable specialist rescues that you know of as I'm pretty unaware re bengal rescue at the moment! Thanks all in advance xx

  16. Tessie is home!! Shis is still quite weak, but has had some food again this morning and is looking a little brighter We are just taking each day as it comes, and with each day hopefully there will be improvement - I will attach some pics shortly, just need to figure out my photobucket log ons! (alternatively there is a facebook fan page that they are already on) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bath-United-Kingdom/Tessie-Balloo/95967246086 Thank you for all the kind thoughts, I really hope my precious girl is coming out of it and will be able to get a bit more grey with me, only time will tell x x x x
  17. Thank you again for the kind thoughts - good news I think today! We haven't got the blood tests back yet, but that aside, Tessie ate today, and quite a bit! (she was also allowed a few laps of tea which she really enjoyed) I sat with her for 2 hours in the vet garden where again she mostly slept, but this time when she woke, she was interested in the food I brought for her, her eyes were brighter and her ears up - she looked more like my Tessie sleeping, that my Tessie too weak to get up (although she is still very weak of course). The vet nurse said when they did the initial blood tests, usually on an older dog, the tests show up weak organs, but apart from a little weaker pancreas, her organs were fine - which shows she is a strong girlie! I can't get too excited, as there is still a fair way to go, but I am so elated after seeing the progress; each day on the drip she is getting better - at least hopefully I will sleep better tonight! xx
  18. Awww, thats a good heartwarmer - and as said above, especially given the reason he was there - what a lovely guy!

  24. Well done Trish!! I know its no where near as long as before with your massive trudge, but 30 miles still sounds a bit scary to me!! I wish I could meet you in bath for some of that walk, but with Tessie really not well I am taking each day as it comes, so I have no idea what saturday will bring. Best of luck and I hope the weather is good for you xx
