  1. Thanks for putting the pictures on Elaine. We were so lucky with the weather. We were all tired by the end of the day, even Kelsey (and as I was off house sitting that night, she had no energy left to play with the excited labrador, ) It was a great walk (except crackhead, really did not need that after 20 miles, ) and people were very generous. £80 has now been raised.
  2. So sorry to hear the sad news about Tessie, to you and the rest of your dogs, they must be missing her.
  3. Sending best wishes to your sweet girl, Tessie and hope she recovers soon. I am sure seeing you helped her. to you both.
  4. I wish I could meet you in bath for some of that walk, but with Tessie really not well I am taking each day as it comes, so I have no idea what saturday will bring. Gentle hugs for Tessie. If you can meet us for a drink it would be lovely to see you again, but I agree Tessie comes first. If we don't meet must catch up some other time, would love to see your dogs again. Not long to go now, are my legs ready for this???? I hope the weather is atleast dry!!!
  5. Thankyou Angela. Here's hoping we raise lots of cash for the 'Oldies'. Not long to go now!!!!
  6. So sorry to hear the sad news about Ollie. I'm glad I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely boy. Thinking of you. Hope you settle in your new home.
  7. I must add that I have pre-walked it, but it was split into 4. The most I walked in one of those was 18 miles as I had to do return route back to the car! But am looking forward to the 30 miles, just hope I've left enough time to pop in the pubs en route!!!
  8. You make sure you do rest it!! Is your friend still interested, maybe she can get a lift down with Safneo?
  9. Yes it is Sat 22nd Aug. If that can be added to the title, ta. Would be great if you can make it, I realise it is along way for you. Looking forward to it.
  10. Thought I'd start a new topic as it has been a while since I've been able to give you an update. I have now pre-walked it, so I now have a rough idea of times we shall reach certain places. I have worked hard on this, so please come and join us for any part of the route. Sadly, due to a knee injury Kazz has had to pull out of joining us. But Elaine and myself will be doing the whole 30 miles!!!! I shall be carrying a collection tin, for Oldies Club,en-route, but please can all other donations go directly to Oldies Club. 11. "since drain had to remove in." Did u mean remained in or was it removed?? Glad vet is pleased with him and he is recovering well, alll thanks to you. and vet of course! more gentle hugs from me, bet he is lapping all this fuss up, well he deserves it.
  12. Hope it is good news from the vets today. Gentle hugs for Sid, thinking of you all.
  13. I agree with Egar, what is most important that people should be learning, not that breeds are at fault, but breeds of dogs in the wrong hands who haven't got a clue about 'understanding' and 'controlling' dog behaviour!!!!!! I was a witness yesterday to an incident, when a friends dog was seriously injured by another dog. We have had news from the vets today that he has pulled through the op but is still a little worried about the wound on his head. The wound to his neck has been stitched. He is allowed home and will get plenty of TLC. He is 17 years old and I am amazed, he is such a strong boy. His owners have to keep a close eye on him, but I am so happy he is coming home. The thought I have had through this was that it could so easily have been my puppy attacked.
  14. Oh yea, and where might that be to? I am enjoyin' this luvly weather, got quite a tan. Met up with some people that I met on the walk last year, havin a great time.
  15. So glad you can make it too. Where will you be coming from? I am thinking it will be best if we meet at the services on the motorway (Gordano? haven't got my map!!) rather than try and give directions to the start. We would need to meet at the services by 7.30am, sorry but we need to start the walk no later than 8am, it is going to be atleast a 12 hr walk. Now don't shy away! We want more to join us mad 5!!!
