  1. Lovely Lana, this girl broke every heart here when she arrived into our care back in November. Lana was given up to rescue once she was no longer required to feed her last litter of pups. Lana was emaciated, depress & had almost given up the will to live. She had never been for a walk in her life, she did not understand the companionship of humans could be positive & enjoyable. It was a struggle to get her to walk out of her kennel, she would just hide in her bed at the back. Even during the early days here Lana for all she has been through has NEVER shown any sign of aggression. With firm but gentle handling Lana has blossomed into a beautiful girl. Lana now enjoys her walks, she will chase toys in the playpen & has started to retrieve. Lana adores being cuddled & fussed, her confidence is growing daily. Although we will all miss her very much here we have decided the time is right for her to try to find her forever home. Lana is fully vac'd. She is due to be neutered on Tuesday 9th December. As you can see Lana is fine with cats. She also travels well in the car. Lana would benefit from a home with an experienced handler purely to be able to continue with her training. She has so much to offer. Please call us for more indepth details. on arrival with Basil, 1 week later Lana now
  2. Poor Henry, we were saying at the weekend they are 7 months old now! Its flown past.
  3. Looks like madan has made herself at home! Was lovely to meet you today Marian & of course your handsom boy. Thank you for giving Missy/Fleur the chance of a lovely life
  4. Depending on how soon you want to start you are welcome to come spend some time here once ours is set up.
  5. I suffered with my back. As part of your training you will be shown how to lift, also electric tables are great. I had mine set up so that onceit was fully up the dog could walk off the table & into the bath so no lifting at all. It is a very rewarding job, no two days the same! There are some very good courses at agricultural colleges that dont cost the earth & give you a good insight into grooming.

    Tabbys Story

A few new photos of Tabby taken today. She met Basil again, he arrived the day before her. She also met Gizzy and ex Mill dog who visits lots. She does seem to like to boys! She had a little wag when Gus the black lab passed her on the lane. She was not very impressed by a passing van & also a push bike but then a plane flew over quite low & didnt seem to bother her. She is now almost solid which makes those morning snogs a lot more plesant! She is happily eating dried food. A gem on her lead, loves the camera as you can see, think she was a super model in a previous life. At many times she seems like a normal young dog & then you remember the awful start she had. She still enjoys running around her kennel with her bed in her mouth, will try to get a video of her in bulldozer mode! Behaviourist is coming out to see her this afternoon. Meeting Basil Meeting Giz Smiling again Tummy tickles
  7. Tabby has arrived. She is a very sweet little girl. She has met quite a few of the farm animals & taken it all in her stride. She has also met a kitten and was not bothered at all. She loves cuddles! At present she is bulldozing her kennel! Will update more over the next few days. Thank you to everyone who has helped her along the way.
  8. Tabby is due to arrive here about lunchtime today. I shall get some pics of her then.
  9. I have offered to do tags with oldies club logo on one side & dogs details on other side once the machine arrives back, which I hope will be in the next week or two.
  10. If you hand strip at the right time, you wont cause any pain to her. It may be worth you finding a decent groomer who can show you how to do it, its not hard. What area are you in?

    Clipping

I keep my Beardies quite short now when its very hot or rake all of the thickness out(coat not head, sadly) When I was at college, we used to clip Collies out on a regular basis they seemed much happier! Go for it.
