  1. I thought as much Claim Job Seekers Allowance in the meantime Michelle, at least it'll be something while you look. You need to tell them they've backed you into a corner over this. Can they do it with no notice? Hell, it's a worry isn't it. Maybe local businesses will be looking at reviewing the costs of their current accounting bills and might be looking for someone like you to work from home.
  2. Same Difference video Be warned, it's annoying but catchy. Have you got to take the medication indefinitely then Mel? Do they know why it happened? Have a Gawd, Michelle! That sounds worrying. Are you able to appeal?
  3. I've come in here to confess I'm not proud of myself. I appreciate it may upset some Fugees. What can I do to redeem myself?
  4. I'm so pleased you'll have him at home with you all again
  5. Never a more true word spoken!!
  6. It depends what effort you want to go to Cher. The supermarkets do some cracking little chilled bits for buffets and anything in the Quorn range is a safe bet for sure. Is it for one person or a few? If it was for one, I'd grab a few bits from the shops but if it was for more then I'd maybe prepare a few bits, like tartlets or similar. I'm veggie and I'm just grateful if someone makes an effort and doesn't expect me to pick the meat out (I mean really! As if!) or eat sliced cucumber and other salad bits.
  7. I relieved that you can bring Max home tomorrow. I'm sure dogs feel much better for being on their own bed and being with their family. Although the waiting for the test results is awful, it's good that he's eating so can take some meds that way. Have another
  8. How awful for you! I'm pleased the little terrier is ok, what a relief for everyone. I hope you're feeling a bit better now, it must've been a terrible shock
  9. I hope they are going to get some more samples across now as a priority. Better to have two lots than none at all. Could they get a courier to take them straight away?
  10. I'm thinking along the same lines as Wendy and hope that he's resting himself. It's the best way for the body to heal. I wish they'd get a move on with those results though. Are you at work today Alex?
  11. I can't tell you how much I'm wishing, hoping and praying that Max gets the right sort of test results and we can get him well again as soon as possible
  12. It's good that you can still give him some home comforts like his lovely warm food. I really wish he was at home with you all but if he can't be there with you then it's best that he's getting lots of care at the vets. As everyone else, I hope it's just a nasty bug that can be easily sorted out. Hoping for Max to be back at home in next to no time
  13. I'm pleased Max is dealing with it all so well, it's somehow more encouraging that he's waggy-tailed and happy. Still thinking lots of positive thoughts
  14. How very pretty!!! I hope Cara is feeling better very soon
  15. Oh, Alex! Poor Max and poor you I'll be sending absolutely tons of very good positive thoughts to you both. I have my fingers very firmly crossed for good news for the little man
  16. Hello to Wendy and Ange! I've eaten way too much and now I'm not sure if I feel sick or tired
  17. Thank you so much Cheryl and Mike I hope you have a very lovely evening when you get home.
  18. You and Tasha will definitely know when it's time. You really will just know. If you have a good relationship with your vet, they might be able to give some guidance too. Will be sending you both some very positive thoughts
  19. Thanks so much for doing this Terri I agree about AXA. Their policies seem very good and they don't have the additional excess for dogs that are 8yrs+ that so many others have added. There are some rehoming stories on the Oldies Club website which might be of use. You can find them here
  20. Open all hours, just bring your cozzie and a bottle of wine...and something very warm to wrap around you when you get out! Being the sophisticated person that I am (erm, not!), I've already bought rubber ducks for it
  21. Pleased to hear Max is feeling better today, hopefully it'll all be sorted now
  22. OMG, Margaret I love your avatar!! We had some snow in the night but there's only a teeny bit left. I've just been out to pour warm water in the bird bath because there was a queue of blackbirds waiting to get in but it was frozen solid.
