  1. I'm quite a fan of both Cesar and Daddy. Whilst I wouldn't always choose the same method personally, his methods certainly do seem to get results.
  2. Thanks for the link, good to know there are some decent MPs out there! Re the celebrity thing: Robbie Williams has a rottie and Michael Owen a staffy. Maybe one of them might be interested? *hopes*
  3. All my ones that have paid have been sent out now - hope they have all been received and enjoyed!
  4. Just to add to my post above: I do however, worry as someone has mentioned above about people thinking of abortion as a form of contraception and a thing that makes underage or irresponsible sex 'OK'. Nothing to my mind makes those things acceptable. We need to teach our kids (and quite often adults!) to take responsibility for their actions and deal with the fall out. Just because some people think of that way though doesn't mean we should take away the choice of those people responsible enough to make it.
  5. I'm with Kathy on this one, 12 weeks is not always enough time, it's too early to have a blanket 'no'. No baby born under 24 weeks has to my knowledge ever survived, and a lot of the babies that do survive suffer brain hemorrhages and worse, yes you get the odd miracle but they are few and far between. Also I don't think that forcing women to carry unwanted children is a good thing. There are thousands of children in need of parents already in the foster care system in this country, why forcibly add more?
  6. Excellent news, lets hope our government types take some notice!
  7. I have PMed you about this gorgeous little lady!
  8. You can see the dew claw on the photo below, it's the one on the 'inside' of the foot that doesn't touch the floor. It's sort of an evolutionary left over, it doesn't really have a purpose as far as I'm aware. Some dogs have them on the front and back, some only on the front.
  9. Brilliant! That's a great total :-) Well done everyone!
  10. She is already spayed which is why I've been umming and ahhing a little about putting her through another operation. I'm glad you agree about having them removed
  11. Wilma has once again snapped off one of her dew claws! This is the second time in as many months Do you guys think I should take the risk of having them removed at the vets under general anaesthetic or just keep dealing with the problem? The vet will do it if I want it done but that it doesn't have to be done. She doesn't yelp or anything when she does it but this time it did bleed quite a lot. Last time she ripped the nail completely out of her foot. I've had to take to covering it to stop her licking it as she has worked how to lick it even when she has an Elizabethan (bucket) collar on. I don't want to have to stop playing fetch with her in order to avoid her doing it as she does love to play! Just thought I'd ask your opinions!
  12. Aww gorgeous! I hope all goes well at the vet for Xylo, poor love. Still trying to get a photo of Tia playing with her balls but not much luck, I keep blurring them or getting glass reflections!
  13. They vary in price to buy depending on their age and size I think they can go up to about £40. They're really cheap to feed though, big fat juicy earth worms, the occasional slice of liver, a bit of fish/squid. They only need to eat every other day (or less depending on age) as well.
  14. A lot of aquatics shops and tropical pet shops stock them these days, it's just like keeping a fish but with different foods. Tia's favourite are earth worms! Most axxies will die rather than grow into salamanders as they're missing a hormone they require in order to grow into a salmander. A few people have had some success with gradually reducing the water but the best way seems to be to give them a hormone injection. They're perfectly lovely as they are though, I think there are several similar species that leave the larval stage naturally and become salamanders.
  15. I will do my best for you
  16. Slate is their natural colour that would have in the wild, the white and yellow ones are leucystic (like albinos I think). I'm looking for a white one to go with her so they can play! She swims around, walks around, comes to the front when she hears me speaking and bounces up at the glass playfully. She enjoys being stroked believe it or not, she's very friendly! She has three brightly coloured plastic balls that she kicks around the tank too, I love her cute smiley face and 'hair'.
  17. Just thought I'd share this pic of Tiamat my axolotl: Isn't she fab? Anyone else here keep one or more axxies? (For those of you who haven't come accross them before have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axolotl)
  18. I tried the Johnsons one and discovered after a while that the brown was coming off my skin and onto my paler coloured clothing :-S I stopped using it after that, shame as it did work.
  19. There are a lot of con artists and bull sh*tters out in the market so do be careful. If possible get a recommendation from other people who've had successful attunements, look at the lineage and whether they are traditional or 'non traditional' (avoid non-traditional like the plague as it usually means that they don't have any lineage and are just making it up as they go along). Be wary of anyone who says they can do distance attunements, make sure your course takes at *least* a whole weekend. I've had quite a lot of experience with scammers and such in my line of work

    My Chooks

Gorgeous! He only looks quite small but sounds like he has a big personality :-D
  21. I've seen lots of different sizes too, tbh I think the real big ones are perhaps crossed with something larger somewhere in their history. My own staff is dinky in comparison to some I have seen.
  22. Just to throw another bone into the works, I notice most of you are eating soya products. Soya products are "unethical" too as mass farming of soya is resulting in people chopping down more rainforest to make room to grow more and local peoples and animals starving to death because there is no food for them growing. Sometimes you're stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea and have to choose which "unethical" practice you hate the least.
  23. Can't see but I'm quite glad I can't by the sounds of it. I have a tattoo myself and love well done artistic tattoos in general. Oh, and it didn't hurt a bit ;-)
