  1. L2 clinical title hydroxyglutarix aciduria, it is a metablic disorder. Dogs exhibit behaviour changes and dementia, anxiety states, having full blown seizures, excercise intolerance, unsteady gait, tremours and muscular stiffness. Stare at walls, loss of obediance and house training. It is a terrible illness, thankfully I have only seen it once before.
  2. Molly you came into my life just 7 short months ago, having found you in a house with your remaining 3 babies, the horrible people had drowned 6 of them and were still in the bucket. I picked you all up after an exchange of words - and bought you home, your eyes were bad, you had been fed frozen veg as they didnt know rabbits liked grass ! After a visit to the vets you had blocked tear ducts and were in a bad way, we nursed you back from that only to be got by a tooth abcess 2 months later. You battledd thru the hurendous time, Peach (your baby daughter) stayed whilst the remaining 2 went to a great home. You had a wicked sense of humour, greating all that came into your space by a quick kiss on the leg !! you wernt a cuddly bunny but we had some fun together. Today you were once more poorly, tooth abcess had returned and another under your chin. On vets advice it was agreed that you had suffered enough, to put you thru another major operation and remove your teeth and part of the jaw was something I couldnt let you go thru. Be free by special girl, i'm so sorry I could not have done more, we will be together to play again ..........
  3. Great news, I must admit I was a bit smitten and had half an eye on her
  4. Thank god I thought it was just me Ohhh now I have to try and explain it ........ ring a ring a roses is written in a circle, a pocket full of poses is written in a drawing of a pocket with flowers in a tishoo is written very big and we all fall down is written downwards !!!! thats a calligram..... someone please save me and write a better explanation ....
  5. Due to Ryan having a rather thick mummy, your help is required Bearing mind he is only 7 ! Ryan has to 'write your own calligram for a nursery rhyme' having looked it up on the internet, and Ryan explaining it to me I now know what it is !!! the school have already used ring a ring a roses as an example - so cant use that one. I am sat here having trawled the internet, and I cant come up with a single one ! YOUR HELP IS NEEDED ........................... See I cant even spell the title .................. what hope have I got !!!
  6. Thank you all for your thoughts, it certainly did the job. After a false start, Mouse wouldnt eat her breakfast at the vets, so had to bring her home to eat (she did as soon as she walked thru the door !) then straight back to vets for x ray With a little help of a few drops of acp, we managed to lift her on the table and she stayed like an angel until finished. x ray showed that the food is passing thru to her stomach (yeh), x ray late this afternoon showed it is still there (not so good) !!!! Mouse is to be put on drugs to help her push it thru.......... spoke to the nice lady tonight who breed her to say what has been happening, turns out her mum was pts at the same age as her for the same thing - they never bothered with tests to see what the problem was or tryed anything to help, poor, poor dog
  7. Mouse has been having problems for a while keeping food down, she has had a torsion and has bloated several times since, so vets were going on that indigestion was the cause !!! Has not improved so today Mouse has x rays for megaesophagus, she has to be x rayed laying down just after eating awake being deaf she does panic in situations she is unsure off, so I have a feeling this is not going to be easy. The vets have agreed i can stay with her, to try and keep her calm. Please keep everything crossed
  8. Just had this come thru on free ads : *****On behalf of the owner, I'm advertising these. I am now a satisfied owner of one of these kittens, but she keeps having more! Ranging in ages from 1 month to 3 months, there all sorts of colours available (not ginger). She is asking £5 (not free, but almost) and can be contacted on xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Ask for Mrs. xxxxxxxxx (not me - I'm just advertising) . The venue is a farm Why do people do this , I am going to contact her today and offer to 'help'. I do hope she's not trying to rehome the 1 month olds. Wish me luck ...............

  14. What a great article, its about time the public knew more of what these poor puppies go thru and where they come from. Having seen first hand, I know the conditions many are kept in, we have helped shut one down recently that was just horrific.
  15. 2 black and white kittens, special because they have a grade 2/3 heart murmour, my vets have been monitoring them, they have been here 3 weeks and have gone from a 3/4, so things going in the right direction !! Now vaccinated including leukaemia, 2nd injection needs to be carried out in 3 weeks time. All they need now is a new mummy or daddy, donation, homecheck and contract to be signed. Look how cute are we !
  16. Just been to the park with my son, great dane and chi Saw another great dane excited as I have never seen another one around here. Poor thing is only 18 months old, they have had her for 2 weeks, already had a litter of puppies, then got turfed out by former owners. The 'new' owners are American, nothing against that at all, they had trouble walking her so 'borrowed' a collar which I can only describe as hell. Is like a choker but has spikes going into the poor things neck. I tryed to be kind, honestly I did, but I couldnt they say they have tryed a halti but she kept getting it off !! I have arranged to meet them tomorrow to try a dog matic on her, we have an enclosed space so I will try it with a lead on her collar as well. I am just so bloody upset, are they legal in this country ??
  17. Happy birthday Selina Thank you for your help today

  21. Long story but to cut it short, Ryan wanted to hatch some chicks...... Nice farmer friend gave him an incubator and some eggs, in mummys wisdom she never thought they would hatch !! well as I type we have one hatching Long night ahead I fear - anyone had any experience that can pass on some words of wisdom
