  1. Morning all :yay: for new seatbelts and passing exams I went for a "bit of a lie-down" at 7 last night, and woke up at 9.30 this morning I think it was the shock of taking HRH into our new vets yesterday afternoon for his boosters and then being presented with an invoice for nearly sixty quid...
  2. Lynne I am so sorry, what a shock My thoughts are with you and Duncan, and with the new angel that is now watching you both xxx
  3. I think I have a widgety thing on my home page that links to my FB page. Will double check I don't do Twitter - I had a look once and it just seemed to be a lot of people talking monotonously about themselves and their meaningless journeys to Asda and what they had for dinner Is it worth doing a Twitter thing then? How does it work?
  4. Morning all Another one who doesn't like Dr Who either - OH is practically obsessed with it. Bit miffed at myself that I couldn't make it to Brean today - just too tired and achey to drive. Bloody FM. I will never get used to having to say no to things because I'm not up to them I also now have the Bodyform advert music going round my head, only being sung in a chickens' voice
  5. PP'd Really can't wait Thankyou Becky for doing this!
  6. Afternoon RMF(s): Dog eggs = OK Cat eggs =
  7. My day so far - and looks like is going that way for the next 48 hours.
  8. Done (and become a fan ) If you copy the link to any FB page - mine is http://www.facebook.com/pages/Trowbridge-United-Kingdom/Happy-Paws-Canine-Daycare/419938282588?v=wall#!/pages/Trowbridge-United-Kingdom/Happy-Paws-Canine-Daycare/419938282588?ref=nf - andwhere on your wall it says "write something" underneath that is an 'attach' icon. Click on the 'link' icon, copy and paste the link, click attach, then write your blurb and share It will then automatically show up on your LInks tab and on your wall. For me its all about networking - if someone is going on holiday and need a sitter then then can (hopefully!) recommend HPCD, and vice versa with any other businesses that want to link to my business page. Its not too much of a problem if the businesses are out of my area as you never know when someone you are chatting to online or IRL wants to know details of someone in another area. I have friends and family all over the UK, so obviously I will recommend to them someone I know :)And hopefully that works both ways! I am more than happy to link to people from my website and FB page as long as I can get a reciprocal link back. That way it works both ways
  9. Morninrg Cheryl thats awful Our neighbour here parks her car on the road out front just behind mine - she had her car written off twice in a month by people driving up the road and not seeing the lines of cars up one side. Scooby has really itchy feet after his walk this morning (OH's Dad took him out for me) We don't know what Scooby walked (or in) - his feet are clear and not hot at all; I washed them in aloe vera and camomile shampoo then lopped on a load of aloe vera gel. He's better now but if it happens again its to the vets as I can't really keep him off grass in the summer. I feel very bleurgh - spent most of yesterday in bed kipping, woke up today to watch the F1 (Go Seb ) but knackered again now so think I will go back to bed.
  10. Thankyou! Link is Here - Happy Paws Canine Daycare lil_angel let me have a link to yours and I'll pop it on my links if you do the same
  11. Afternoon all for poorly peeps. Me neither... That looks nummy.... I brought some easter eggs for everyone
  12. I'm trying to get more fans for my business page on Facebook. How do you make something so interesting it goes viral? I have a few friends and customers on it at the moment but not as many as I would like. I'm not expecting to have hundreds of thousands but a few more would be nice. Any ideas? edited to add it's Happy Paws Canine Daycare
  13. Have complained to both Ofcom and ITV. What a bloody stupid stunt.
  14. I agree with a licence in theory, but it must be realistic, enforcable, and most importantly it MUST be enforced.
  15. Bloody ridiculous idea. Train the kids to be dog savvy, just as they are trained to be road savvy. Yes kids get hit by cars because they're being stupid occasionally but nothing in life is 100% safe. On the other hand I am more than happy to wear a red collar myself if it will keep idjits away from me....
  16. I'm a beaver. April Fool. Natch, my joking done for the day......... Not seen any of the ones on the telly yet as not been watching. Cos I forgot it was April.
  17. Morning for those poorly fugees (two and four-legged), fugees who have found an angel and any fugees who just want a hug. PC has been playing up so every time I try and multiquote it goes uber slow (slower than normal slow) and for th past two days I have just given up trying to post Today I has got up, checked the bugs, sprayed the bugs what needed spraying, dusted, wiped the kitchen down, fed the skinks and am now being harrassed by HRH and the Flump as I made myself a spinach and homous wholemeal pitta and there is a teeny crumb on it I am also kernackered as I have lurgy and on top of my FM I feel like a peice of wilted manky lettuce.

    P.A.T. Dogs

I was thinking of enrolling HRH as a PAT dog, but he's not 100% on a lead when he gets excited (he tends to pull) and he also has a thing for eating false teeth
  19. The dog doesn't look too comfortable with the camera but   The dog doesn't look too comfortable with the camera but
  20. Great news - glad Sally is feeling better
  21. I am trying to do a contract for HPCD (my pet care business) I basically want one contract that covers everything, so people don't have to keep signing forms if they have more than one service. What sort of things need to be covered? I have things like travel costs, amount of hours animals can be left by myself if I am looking after them, permissions to take animal to the customers vet if I think they need veterinary attention, dogs will be kept onlead unless a disclaimer is signed and I am confident enough in the dog, the dog(s) must be vaccinated unless there is a good medical reason, they must have an ID tag on their collar, I will not walk dogs on a choke or check chain but if I feel the dog will walk better on a harness/halter I can use that, bitches in heat will not be walked etc. Also need help with wording. I need a disclaimer saying that while HPCD will look after animals like they were my own, sometimes bad stuff happens and HPCD cannot take any responsibility for that. Also need to say that if I am booked for any time period, I must be paid for the entire period eg I am booked for a 12 hour visit but the owners come home after 11 hours I will still expect to be paid for the 12 hours, and I need something to say if the owners are late and I feel the animal(s) cannot be left they will need to pay extra for the cover, and cancellations fees - I don't even know where to start with that... Any ideas?
  22. Morning all. I just deleted all my multiquotes and can't get them back to all those who would like a hug. Celeste - where is this alternative therapies weekend wot does animals? Have yo any details please? I am trying to do the content for a contract for HPCD. I am stuck in a world of disclaimers and wording. I even went into the garden to collect dog-eggs to try and clear my head May go and start a thread on contracts...
