Justin is a beautiful 8yr old Sprollie (springer x collie) who came over from Ireland after being found in a weak & distressed state in a ditch by a lady out walking Justin is vacc. neutered and is in good health although while in foster it has become apparant he may be deaf. He is gentle, affectionate, housetrained and very good with other dogs. Although Justins' hearing may be failing he is great on and off lead and in the house, obviously caution would need to be taken if any dangers are around off-lead. He will ocassionally bark if a door is closed on him but if a hand is placed on his neck and a finger waved to tell him "no" he settles straight away. Justin just needs a warm and loving retirement home, where he will get the home comforts he deserves. Kiefer was saved from an Irish pound. He is approx 18 months old, has recently been neutered and has been given up to date vaccinations. He has a lovely temperament, is good with other dogs but when he first arrived he was rather amorous. He is now improving fast after his little op and does respond to "no". His education has been rather neglected but he is a quick learner. He knows the basic commands and his recall is fairly good. Now 99% house-trained. This photo was taken whilst in kennels in Ireland and he has since had those thick mats removed from his ears. Kiefer is very good with children but can be a little too boisterous for under 5's. He has been kindly fostered and child tested with Sally (DaisyMissy) in Lincolnshire but will be coming back to us in the next few days. Poor boy was recently attacked by 2 GSD's which left him with a nasty wound but this has been treated by the vet and is healing nicely. Sula who is a beautiful Sprollie was found straying in Ireland nearly 9 months ago and has been in rescue kennels ever since. Every effort was made to trace her owners but with no luck. She has now come to live with us and is ready for her permanent home. She is estimated to be 4 years old but she looks and acts younger. The kennels think that she has been neutered as she has not been in season but the scar is not visible. We will be checking this out with our vet. She has been vaccinated. As you can see Sula is very fond of people. She has been good with our dogs and we are informed by the kennels that she is good with cats and children. I would not however trust her with chickens and sheep She will need proper lead and recall training but she knows the basic commands such as sit. At the moment she is very strong on the lead. She is 99% house-trained but we think her time living in kennels may have set her back as she has had a couple of little accidents. This can be easily remedied as Sula is a very bright girl. We will be looking for a home with no children under 5 and someone around for a good part of the day. It would be preferred if the new owners could take her to training classes. Finn is a working type Springer Spaniel that was surrendered to Irish rescue kennels because he was no longer needed to work to the gun. As he is quite shy I find it hard to believe that he was ever shot over! He does however like hunting the hegerows (typical Springer) and his recall and lead work need to be worked upon. He is now living with us until his forever home can be found. Finn is not 100% house-trained as he has lived outside until now but he is almost there. He has just been neutered and is vaccinated. Although Finn is a smaller type Springer he is strong so he will need someone that can put in the training required to stop him pulling on the lead and also to work on other aspects of his training to make him into a lovely companion. He is great with the other dogs here but not good with birds and cats. As he is a little nervous we will not home him with children under 8 years old. Once he trusts someone he is very affectionate and will roll over for a belly rub. A home check and a donation to help with costs will be required please.
