  1. Thanks. This really made me laugh!
  2. I don't even start to say what mine are doing. I need to take care to heave enough tennis balls, frisbees etc to keep their attention.... Is there water around where I can chuck them in???
  3. Poor Maya. Hope her paw heals quickly... Ever considered a pet insurance?
  4. I would bring him along too. I am sure Mishka will oblige to sit on her and that will sort it out forever (just kidding)
  5. I don't do Christmas. I don't believe in it so I refuse to celebrate it for the sake of my children. I explained to them why and they seem to have understood. We usually make most of the time and do things together, which I find much more important than exchanging expensive presents.
  6. I am so sorry Sarah. :GroupHug: Run free at the bridge beautiful Harry.
  7. Sorry Phebe, I missed this. Lots of good thoughts for Humph... He seems a real fighter For you :GroupHug:

  12. I was told when a bitch is already slightly incontinent from a lot of breeding that spaying might make it worse... Saying that, the bitch in question is not incontinent in the sense of having no bladder control, but rather needing a wee more often. Is there anybody having experience with something like this. Are there any natural remedies to help. And is a spaying still adviceable (sp)? Thanks for your help.
  13. All fingers crossed here. And lots of healing thoughts. Hope she will be back on that comfy sofa soon. They look lovely together :GroupHug:
  14. If you find me a house to move in, we will take part
  15. I find it disgusting. He is always looking for somebody to blame and turns the whole audience against that person. I just don't know why anybody would want to be on his program I don't watch programs like that nor read magazines that use the same tactics, in fact, I don't read magazines at all.
  16. Hi everybody. So sorry about the kitten Sarah :GroupHug: I hope you will feel better soon Phebe. At least you have sunshine... We have rain chucking down here all day. Was very tempted to visit you when I was in Wales last week, but then I had no clue how to make contact without the internet Does anybody know by any chance how soon after a bitch had puppies she can be spayed, when they are weaned off? What is the best time? To wait till she is a bit recovered from giving birth? How bring her back into condition? Any advice gratefully received
  17. Nor had I, but the provided link proved quite helpful and I found out that it is a 2 hour trip, one way... The things we do for great company

    Irish Dogs

I have 1 Irish dog and I wouldn't want to be without him. I always wonder why people have to start a hysteria about something. Many other european countries rescue dogs from other countries like Spain, Portugal, Hungary etc. I don't understand how people can say let the dog die to prove a point to the government. Doglovers?
  19. Is that the 15th or the 16th? Or both days? I have no idea if I have any plans, but if not I would be happy to tag along. Might leave some doggies at home though... Or we just could do our own walk with the amount of dogs
  20. Great pictures. Looks like a lovely walk, despite the weather....
  21. As we don't celebrate Christmas I don't need to do present shopping. The food shopping is horrible, I try to do it when less people are at the shop....
  22. We don't do christmas either. We usually have a quiet day with a lovely dog walk, nice food and just chill. Friends and family got used to it by now. I just refuse to be part of all this.
  23. I came to this country as a foreigner from the Eu, but I had no right to apply for housing. I had to rely on the private market and pay their prices. And I cam as a single mother with children. When you come to another country, they expect you to support yourself. I have no idea where the idea comes from that they are well provided for? Probably different when you come as an asylum seeker, but that is a different story. So I don't see the point why polish, or any other nationals take away council houses. I was actually told that it is young girls getting pregnant on purpose trying to get into a council house like this. I wonder why there is always the misconception, that when you come over here as a foreigner you get lots of help from the government? Beside that you have no idea about the system, unless you know somebody explaining it to you, you are basically on your own. I applied for quite some jobs, but being a single mother I have to put my children first, so I can't work certain hours etc, if the employer then wants employ somebody else, I think they can do so. It is their right. I now have an employer who is very understanding, lucky me. Still it is a juggle between family and work.
  24. I should have stayed in Wales. Raining here
  25. San, Glen is stunning. But then I have a soft spot for reds
