celeste
I was at my friend's last night and she showed me her 9yr old Staff Peggy's eye, it is almost as if she has another pupil, it is black about the size of her normal pupil, and sits at the bottom of her iris, her eye isn't sore or weepy or bloodshot, looks perfectly normal and it is'nt bothering her at all, anybody seen this before ? i tend to have cancer on the brain but i'm sure i've read somewhere that changes to the eye can indicate cancer, or maybe it was diabetes
akitas
No idea, sorry, but if the eye suddenly changed I would take Peggy to the vet.
ranirottie
has it always been there or has it suddenly appeared? my sister has double/keyhole pupils and it can happen in animals too. x
pboae
My old dog had cancer in one eye, and when it started to show it looked like a small splodgy bruise on the white of his eyeball. Other than that his eye looked completely normal, it never weeped or bothered him. I would definitley get it checked out, and by someone who knows about eye cancers if possible. Our vet was an oncologist, but he still got a second opinion off an eye specialist because they can be hard to diagnose.

celeste
Looks like it's good news on the eye front, Peggy was at the vets today and they think it's just a cyste but are sending her to a specialist in Kirkaldy just to be on the safe side, many thanks for all the best wishes
