Houndwoman
Please would you sign the E Petition to help stop the Badger cull which is about to start very soon. If we can get 100,000 signatures it has to be debated in Parliament. Please share also with all your contacts. If you are not sure about doing this please look at our website and read about the real science about this and why it is so wrong to kill these beautiful mammals. We do not have much time so let us try and stop it before it starts. If this goes ahead here it could happen in your County next. Many, many thanks. Houndwoman
The petition is going well but we hope it continues to grow. Some very positive things happening here if you read our website GABS We have a Facebook page too. We had a fantastic result last night when the Forest of Dean District Council had an extraordinary meeting to discuss the issue. It is a Tory led Council but the vote came out in our favour with a result of 30 for a ban on culling on all land owned or managed by the Council with only 1 against the motion and 1 abstension. We were ecstatic It is very much in the news now too! The Independant

Houndwoman
Another victory last night at Tewkesbury Borough Council Council Meeting As with the Forest of Dean meeting last week, one of the Councillors is a farmer and has cattle but still voted against the cull
Houndwoman
Great news-there will be a 6 hour debate on the badger cull in the Commons next Thursday. This is a massive step forward Petition is up to 157,037 at the moment but we still need people to sign!
Houndwoman
Such good news about the delay-with a bit of luck that's the end of it all! Owen Paterson was saying that it was due to advice from the NFU but the head of the NFU later on was saying that it was disappointing and that many farmers felt let down (which one is telling porkies then)? I suspect yet another u turn from this Government. We mustn't rest on our laurels though and must make sure we keep adding to that petition and lobbying our MP's etc. The debate will still happen on Thursday so that could make a huge difference
