houndzrus
We are going to do a bit of landscaping on the front garden and want to use bark chippings on part of it. I heard that some bark chippings are poisonous to dogs, so don't want to get the wrong ones. Any ideas?

bonniebird
We have chippings and so far so good, its the chocolate smelling ones (cocoa) that are dangerous if eaten x

blackmagic
Cocoa mulch is the huska of the cocoa bean and is poisonous to dogs as it contains theobromine, the same as chocolate. it does have alovely chocolate smell. Ordinary bark much is okay
merledogs
It should say on the bag what they are made of, or you could ask one of the B&Q staff . It's the cocoa mulch ones which are poisonous
