snow
That chest, the head, the coat and the colouring say there's Wolfhound in him either first generation cross or second but not too far back given his height.
Ruthi (borrowadog)
Wolfhounds come in that colour - I'd say if not pure, then lots of wolfie in there. I wish I had a bigger house....
Anne Grose
Now that is my kind of dog and a decent size too. I would agree definitely some Wolfhound in there
Fee
Not sure about the Wolfhound, they aren't very often used in breeding working lurchers, they're too big and not athletic enough to be useful in the field. It's more likely he's a Deerhound X - the colouring could easily come from some greyhound in the mix. He's gorgeous whatever he is
ranirottie
Greyhound x Deerhound I would think x
Nettie
He looks very heavy boned to be a deerhound x - could have been an accidental wolfhound mating.

Trallwm farm
He is a Deerhound x Greyhound with a teaspoon of terrier so a true lurcher rather than a longdog. He has deerhound eyes and a deerhound nature. I look at these all day long because to me I dont get why anyone would want any other breed. I expect one parent will be a red and white Grey hound so the wheat colour came through from the Deerhound. Bojangles sister is cream with blue smoke ends to her ears yet Bojangles is a true blue boy. He is a lovely boy Egar Edited to add a long dog link especially for you Sara Loooong dawg Edited March 31, 2009 by Trallwm farm
EGAR
McGinty has neither Wolfhound nor Deerhound in him. I have spoken with his last owner who is also his "breeder". Mother is a fawn coursing GH bitch who is quite tall and the father is a Wheaten x Irish Terrier.
