  4. Hi everyone, thanks ever so much for the advice and replies, msgs. After further conversations today with a manager at the organisation concerned, I am informed that he will carry out my instructions as requested. I have been advised to send him a covering letter (done today) and then he will act. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him the time to deal. However, if he does not act as promised then I'll be back and I will take it further. So, I 'may' be here again asking for the help that some have offered. Thanks all, I really am grateful
  5. Thanks Merledogs. I've tried that but can only find info from 2006 and wasn't sure whether those details, names etc are still current. I'm just staggered that a Customer Service Advisor thinks a valid response to the question, "please tell me the name of your MD/CEO" is "I'm not authorised to give you that information"?! I appreciate that there is a complaints escalation chain in all organisations and that there are processes to follow. The front end advisor cannot make certain decisions without checking etc, but all I want is a name in the event that I have to pursue my position to the man/woman at the top. I hope I don't have to go that route but I am getting prepared. Thanks all.
  6. Hi folks, Would anyone be able to help point me in the right direction for locating the name of the CEO or MD of a particular organisation? I've trawled the website of the organisation in question - to no avail. I've tried looking at Companies House website but can't make head nor tail of using it to help me On calling said company and asking the question, I am told that "this information cannot be disclosed to the public" ?! I despair of "Cutomer Service" in the UK sometimes. Why oh why does a simple (well what seems like a simple) request have to end up such a protracted battle?! I need a tablet!
  7. Oh no, I am so so sorry
  8. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1236839/Solicitor-General-Vera-Baird-embroiled-row-failing-pick-dogs-mess-railway-station.html Hi Folks, I just wondered what people thought of this piece. I can remember a no. of times when Ruby was a puppy that she was somewhat, how can I put it?......'loose' One particularly embarassing time was when we were walking through our local town and Ruby pulled towards a shop doorway and there she went.....SPLAT! :o I was mortified and there was no way I could even attempt to pick it up. I had to ask shoppers to stand to the side whilst I gesticulated to the lady behind the till to come out. She came out and saw what had happened and I apologised profusely and asked if she would be kind enough to get me a bucket of hot soapy water so that I could clean it up. All the while people were tutting and commenting etc, Ruby was slipping and squirming around in 'it' and I just wanted the ground to swallow me up . Another time she splatted on the pavement on our estate, luckily enough I was able to get home asap and went back out with a bucket to sloosh it all away. However, if anyone had seen me they would have assumed I was leaving it wouldn't they? I appreciate the piece alleges the minister was 'offensive' and whilst I don't condone that, I read from the piece that she had intended to deal (or indeed was dealing) with the puppy's accident with the railway staff and perhaps the lady with pram had jumped the gun in voicing her annoyance at the minister. What do others think?
  9. She reminds me of Perry from Harry Enfield's Kevin & Perry sketches...."Hello Mrs Patterson, Yes, Mrs Patterson"
  10. Ruby is a Lab and ranges between 30-32kg. She's been on Synoquin for a good 3-4 yrs. She injured her leg as a pup. She's 6 now and does have an odd walk but she's fine.

    Dog Collars

Ruby doesn't wear a collar in the house and neither did any of our dogs that came before her. We're not a busy house so the liklihood of doors being left open just doesn't and hasn't applied in the 15 or so yrs that we've had dogs. She can't escapre from the back garden as it's 6ft walled and she's built for comfort and nothing else. She is never ever left out there alone.
  12. Absolutely tragic. Poor poor child
