  1. What a lovely reading - she is a beautiful girl. and I see she looking after those blades of grass really well bless her!
  2. I thought I'd rectified it before anyone saw it - should have known you'd beat me to it!! Hopefully its changed now and the CORRECT last pic is there... Elsa cant help it if her mummy is a muppet Lynn
  3. This is my "L B" baby. Originially known as Xsara and now called Elsa, we collected her on 14th July from Jill (her foster mum) in Wales. and at that time she looked like this.... 10 weeks old A few months (and lots of raw meat later  ) she looked like this.... 5 months old And now my adorable gentle girl looks like this - I personally think she is the best thing since sliced bread (but I know I'm biased!) taken last month when she was 8 months old She is incredibly gentle, can be a little feisty sometimes (but cant all us females!! ) but a more loving, gorgeous sweet hearted girl I will never find. She is one of four dogs - and she is the youngest, gentlest and quietest of them all!!! (and she's DEFINITELY a mummy's girl!!!) Lynn xxxx
  4. Well fantastic news! According to the xrays, it is a soft tissue injury NOT anything wrong with the joints/bone. Elsa has to go back to the vets in a month for a check up and I have to -try- to get her to rest a bit (rest a 9 month old rottie with other playmates in the house?!!!!) I'm happy as a happy thing! Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts - it certainly helped stop me pulling my hair out! Lynn xxx
  5. I took her to Rye this morning for her Xrays, and had to leave her there - she just trotted off with the vet nurse like I didnt exist and I'm left standing there like "billy no mates" with a quivery bottom lip!!! She had to have a GA for the xrays of her elbows and shoulders to be taken, so OH has just left to go pick her up - decided he'd better go incase she's a bit woosey, he could lift her into the car, whereas I'm a wimp and couldnt! I called the vets at 1pm and they said when we come pick her up, we'll see the vet - I'm assuming he/she'll give us the results and what the next step (if any) will be. OH is going to call me when he's collected her to let me know what the vet says and I will pop back here to let you know what happened. Thank you all so much for all your good wishes, they've helped me more than you could know :flowers: Lynn
  6. Thanks ever so much for your thoughts. The vet give me some painkiller to give her and she has been a lot happier this afternoon. As you can see, I'm still awake at "silly o'clock" and wondering if I'll ever get to sleep (worry guts that I am!) I also noticed (how pathetic am I!) How bloomin' dirty the step is behind her - that's their route to the back, so no matter how many times I wipe it, it ends up like that in minutes - I wonder if they do a colour paint called "MUD" Once again thank you for all your thoughts and best wishes for my baby - I feel a lot more positive now and I know she'll be ok whatever tomorrows outcome. :flowers: Lynn
  7. Tomorrow I am taking her to Rye for xrays on her front shoulder and elbow joints while she is under GA. She'd been limping slightly for a few days, I assumed she'd pulled a muscle playing with the rest of the posse (my other 3 lunatics and a foster) so just massaged it and used a tea tree strain spray on her shoulder which seemed to help. Yesterday though, she was limping very badly and also getting very grouchy with the others - which really isnt in her nature, she's usually such a happy, waggy rottie girl! So this morning, I rang my vet and got an appointment. Took her down there and they -think- it could be OCD. She's only 9 months old but we wont know for sure until the xrays are taken and looked at. I know I'm being an incredibly stupid mummy for getting so upset, but I cant help it. Whatever has to be done, will be done to make her better again. Just need lots of fingers crossed that it perhaps is just a "growth spurt". My gentle giant Lynn xxx
  8. I was doing my usual and scanning around the web and found these.... Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 The site is similar to EBay - if you look at sellers other items, there's lots there. Lynn xx

  10. I got a similar email reply from them yesterday - pasted below: It's an awful lot of saying nothing new in my books tbh. Lynn
  11. I will sign as soon as its ready too! An ambulance is an ambulance, irrespective on how many legs its clientelle have!! Lynn xx
  12. My staffies (1 is pure, 1 is staffyxlab) and both my rotties are raw fed - never had any problems with any of them - coats are shiny, tails are waggy and they are healthy and happy. Lynn *edited to add: I get their meat from Landywoods - cant sing their praises enough!
  13. What a fab pic!! I wish I could get mine to sit for a group photo - even food wont tempt them.. there's always at least one who wont play the game!! oh well.. one day! Lynn
  14. hi Wendy, Me and my lot are demented too! Welcome to the Refuge! Lynn
  15. My beautiful Sheba (GSD) April 1983 - May 1995 Heidi (mum's border collie) 31-12-89 - 31-7-05
  16. Glad Maddie is feeling better - and dont worry about the weight.. she'll get bigger yet Elsa at 6 months was 36kg and she still thinks she can "sit on your lap" - I'm sure she thinks she's a lil chi!! My knees however beg to differ We need some pics of Maddie - she is such a cutie!! Lynn xxxx
  17. Carol & Kiri ---- Yeah.. that Val is VERY sneaky ---- Had a phone call a few weeks ago from the Dark Queen herself "Could I do her a big favour and foster a lovely rottie for her?" "Of course I can.. no problem." Guess what? I've bloomin' failed again!! Now I'm a 4 dog family I am sure she has an uncanny knack of knowing just what dog she should put with who and this is why her fosterers fail all the time!! You'd have thought I'd have learnt from the first time wouldnt you! Lynn xxxx
  18. it was on a cold wednesday evening last January that we drove up the M1 to Leicester Services to collect this lad as a foster ----- Then: It wasnt until we realised we just couldnt let him go, that we gave in and asked if we could keep him as ours. Fortunately Val (Halfway Home) said yes, and the rest, as they say, is history... Now: He's turned into the most fantastic boy I could have hoped for - and he even puts up with my three girls terrorising him too!! Happy first gotcha day Larva Boy! - the first of many! Lynn xxx
  19. Here's a picture of my "devil dogs".. do you think the News of the World will want to use this photo in future to head their "all rotties/staffies/etc are dangerous" campaign? Guess that'll be a no then! Lynn
  20. And they say there's never a truer word than spoken in jest!!
  21. Have signed their petition too and commented! (and OH has as well!)
  22. Is your phone line still working? Also, if you had broadband, you probably had a DSL modem, which (correct me if I'm wrong) I dont think works for dial up - for that you need a different kind of modem. Maybe that's the problem? You may have a normal modem (not a router or a broadband one) inside your PC - you just need to connect it up. Hope that my confused babble actually made some kind of sense? Lynn *edited to say: Posted at the same time as Cycas who said it a lot more logically than I could hehe
  23. Sorry to hear your bad news. Thinking of you and your mum Lynn
