  1. RMQ So which joker in the 'cosmos' decided to give me back my horrendous childhood cough two days after I uttered the words 'I think I've grown out of it' Ha ha very funny - not
  2. Good luck Alex Marian :GroupHug: Chucks really do have wonderful personalities, just remember that because of your love Diva was able to express hers :GroupHug: to all who need them
  3. Sweet dreams Cozzie cat Marion :GroupHug: Ceri's mentoring day today & true to form I'll be meeting his tutor with a scabby nose and an uncontrollable cough - the first for ages. My timing is impeccable :GroupHug: for all in need
  4. Chocolate plants (cosmos) do smell of chocolate - great if you have a craving, one sniff & it goes away Most good garden centres have them & I think they can be bought online Saw an old Saluki girly yesterday, I'm sure she had Pemphigus as the woman walking her said that all her nails were falling off. She said the vet hadn't a clue why & was giving her very strong antibiotics which meant she couldn't have pain medication - she looked really sorry for herself. I couldn't remember the name but remembered that it was auto immune related so told her that. She wasn't her dog though so not sure if it'll get passed on & I could be wrong but they looked very sore, poor old girl Cheryl
  5. Jimmycat was like this when she was diagnosed with cancer - she was climbing the trellis to get in the bedroom window as always & two weeeks later couldn't stand on her own My vet diagnosed her with bladder cancer & offered an operation or palliative care. I refused the operation (she was 20 and had never been ill so the stress of an op and being in the vets wasn't an option I wanted for her)and tried palliative care for a week but eventually I asked my vet to put her to sleep - he agreed that we were keeping her going for me & not for her but I think he was waiting for me to make the decision. Your vet may be doing the same so no I don't think it would be wrong if you really feel that it is the best thing for her. It's an awful time and I really feel for you :GroupHug:
  6. Hugo hamster died in his sleep Scamper free little man, I really will miss you Dreading telling Ceri
  7. Beautiful Keira I'm so very sorry Sandra :GroupHug:
  8. I wanted to add if you do ever use Snowfire, don't touch your cats afterwards as it contains thyme oil which is supposedly very toxic to cats and judging by Pumpkin's reaction (horrible howling and vomiting ) after licking a tiny amount from his coat I can believe it. Thankfully he's ok but as good as it is I won't be using it again.
  9. I've just replaced my computer chair with an exercise ball & can't resist bouncing - 'tis making me feel a bit sick so maybe I should sit still but I can't :GroupHug: to all who need them today
  10. Absolutely, good luck with your return home
  11. My PC is about the same age, has 512mb RAM and I'm also with TalkTalk and use Firefox. It's way slower than it used to be and I get the 'type the word & it appears a few seconds later' sometimes but videos are usually ok If you want to send me a link to the video I'll let you know how It is for me & it might help you rule out a few things perhaps
  12. They're all absolutely scrummy but I need this little alien man (I could do with you as my MIL as well )
  13. Snowfire ointment gives instant relief for cracked knuckles and chapped skin, it really is good. My knuckles split open every winter - Lotil is also good but Snowfire really does relieve the pain instantly Snowfire

  15. Mags, OH kept some baccy in his cab for quite a while as a comfort blankie, he knew he was ok when he was able to chuck it out. Keep up the good work
  16. Aww sorry to pizz on your bonfire Another for Katie though
  17. Also says can be given direct in the mouth and can be given as often as required, every few minutes if needed while under stress

  19. Don't know him so can't say but don't like his methods.
  20. Hmmm....when I spoke to the woman yesterday she looked at my account and assured me that my order was dispatched the next day - 15th Jan...I've received two parcels today, one dated 30th Jan and one (the replacement) dated yesterday - not sure what's happened there...
  21. Lucas lives with two cats - one black, Raven & one ginger, Pumpkin. If we see cats when out I say 'aww it's a Raven' (for all black/black&white or dark cats) or 'aww it's a Pumpkin' for all light coloured cats which works a treat. Unfortunately I have no name for fluffy cats of any colour & he goes insane when he sees one NPower have been phoning my Dad daily since he mentioned the ombudsman, telling him he's a special case & they're doing their best to make payments easier for him blah, blah, blah. They insisted that they'd sent 9 meter readers out but he was always out - funny how none left a card. Today they admitted that they'd ignored a reading that he sent them and that's where the whole problem started. They had the cheek to say that his meter was old as if that's anything to do with him
  22. Well done and good luck My OH smoked for over 30 years and gave up two years ago - one of the things which spurred him on was when shortly after giving up a colleague (smoker) opened his car window to speak to him and OH got a strong whiff of stale tobacco smoke from the inside of the car - he'd never realised just how bad he must've smelt (though I told him often ) He hasn't smoked since and hasn't had to use his asthma inhaler either so it's really worth persevering
  23. That's the number I called - I told her that there were others who'd also ordered and not received theirs & she didn't know what to say. Good luck Ellie Griff, you couldn't have known
