  1. Crossposting - please can anyone in the Seaford/Brighton area keep an eye open for Biscuit who went missing yesterday - Sunday 31.5.09 - Many thanks Could you please circulate this... My friend Alison has lost her dog today, can you help please? His name is biscuit. He has a scruffy terrier look but he is collie size, black coat all over and is wearing a red collar. Buscuit is an RSPCA dog and I am told can be pretty frantic with strangers so he will not come to you. Buscuit ran off in Seaford and lives in Brighton. If anyone sees him, please ring this number as soon as you can so she can track him: ALISON 07976637442
  2. I have got one of these http://www.barjo.co.uk/products/ramps/larg...oden-ramp-fdr03 Expensive but fantastic quality and will last forever I bought a cheap one sometime ago and it just bowed in the middle after a while - think you get what you pay for
  3. I understand that these two dogs have been found dead on the railway Very sad outcome
  4. Monty is home Not sure of the details as yet but at least he's safe
  5. Owl - he's been posted on Doglost this morning I have also spoken to a lady who used to work for one of the Lab rescues down this way who has given me some numbers - i will also try to post him on Lostlabs too....thanks for the other info as well - i'd never heard of those two group
  6. Posted on behalf of Montys owner who has just moved and has no internet access. Monty is a 6 month chocolate Labrador who went missing on a walk at Bedgebury Forest which spans from Goudhurst to Cranbrook, Kent on Sunday 12 October. I am trying to establish where exactly he went missing from. He had a red collar with tag but has no microchip I have advised owners to contact the dog warden, police and local vets. Also to make sure that local postmen, dustmen and taxi firms are aware that he is missing.
  7. I am so very sorry - my thoughts are with you all
  8. Not sure if this will work, but this is the article that i read this morning that i was referring to http://www.theargus.co.uk/display.var.1737282.0.0.php
  9. Thankyou - it appears to have been updated again since i read it first thing this morning with not nearly as much information so apologies for that. The article this morning said that they knew the identity of the dog - he was a 7 yr old called Paddy who had been rehomed "through a friend of a friend!" as he had shown aggression to the young child in his original home so they'd got rid of him. Allegedly a 17 year old girl had been walking him and he had "either nipped/bitten" her....although the local hospitals had had no dog bite admissions....it was not long after that that a man turned up at the park and unfortunately we know the rest This is only information from the article that i read this morning!
  10. According to our local news a 30 year old man has been arrested in connection with this There is an updated article on The Argus website too (can't do linkies i'm afraid ).....makes very sad reading

  13. Every week there is a group of us who meet in the Surrey/ Sussex areas. The walks are arranged by John (BIGGSD on here) - if anyone would like more details then please contact either him or myself This Sunday (the 25th) we are meeting at Epson Downs at 12.30 for a 1pm start. If there is anyone that would like to join us then you would be more than welcome The meeting point is the lower of the two car parks to the left of the tennis courts. There will be rescue dogs for rehoming at the walk

  16. Herbie is very rarely left at all during the day as he comes to work with me - in fact, i can't remember the last time that i left him during the day. If i did leave him then i probably wouldn't want it to be longer than about 4 hours. I do go out to the gym every evening though - generally i leave him for a couple of hours but am happy to leave him for anything up to 6 hours in the evenings as he is exhausted by then anyway and is glad to get rid of me Edited to say that he is not crated and has the run of the house
  17. I am so sorry - my thoughts are with you
  18. Crossposted:- Shoni went missing from Buxted, Nr Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 on the 22 July. She is a Blue Merle Border Collie who was ID Tagged and microchipped. Her owner can be contacted on 01825 733022 or you can PM me and i can get a message to them via D/lost. There is a cash reward for her safe return. Hopefully there should be a picture attached if i am having one of my more technical moments!

  21. I do a bit of agility for fun with my GSD Herbie. I found a great class that is not competitive just fun which was exactly what i was looking for Herbie absolutely loves it but does have a habit of grabbing my arm in all his excitement (a habit that i am trying to break him of!). I have been into agilitynet this morning to see where the local shows are so am hoping to go and watch a few to pick up some more tips.
