its sooo cold hav treated missy to an early xmas pressie as with her having to stay ont he lead and not getting a run abouts she is feeling the cold now dont laugh i know she look a bit embarrased but this was her first try on and she thought she looked daft! Now i have told her she looks gorg and she has had a fuss off the neighbours on our walk she is feeling much better

Hope your knee is feeling better today! We are only in Greasby and still havent walked to Hilbre with Missy yet on my to-do list this year! Any thoughts on missy has started biting her nails? Could it be a bordom thing with us not doing much walking at the moment with her leg, or could her nails be getting longer than she is used to its only been 4 weeks but i am only letting her in the garden and walking gently on the fields?

I love love love Christmas! We have a little tree in the lounge with all my favourite decs thing from my nans and gramps some from home and all the one off bits ive acumulated! Then we have the big one in the dining room where we will be eating our yummy crimly dinner! Missy loves the tree everything from going getting it to sitting right under it

starting to think missy is missing seeing other animals as she is still limping a bit and is on restricted exercise and has spent most of the day glued to penguin the tv or any dog that happend to pass by the window! so this afternoon we have made a lot of doggy biscuits and treats which has kept her busy, just hoping ll sorts its self soon think we are all missing going out

thank u everyone for posting on this she does seem to be improving having some better days than others so just giving her time and lots and lots of tlc x

thanks u everyone i am going to have a read of all the links i have just been and bought seven seas which is 1000 gluc and 400 cond to get her stated with this first and see and adjust as needed. as for taking the tablets she will eat ANYTHING if u ask her to sit and do the game of "what do u want this?"! gets her all excited and she eats it without it even touching the sides works a treat with her. When i used to try and hide the wormers in cheese she would eat the cheese and spit the tablet out! i took her out tonight for the first time in 3 weeks to see my parents and she is now fast fast asleep head on my knee poor baby really tired her out! thanks again everyone really appreciate the posts i do worry she is my first dog and my everything x im still learning and its a steep curve xxx

thanks u for replying il have a look, and il mention the GA to vet. I would have paid anything to sort it for her hasnt been nice to see my naughty pup all quiet and sad thank goodness it seems to be sorting slowly thank u again xxx

if anyone has any advice on healthy doggie joints ive posted a q in doggie chat, my mind id pickled at the moment! would really appreciate some help x

We have had a scary three weeks with Missy developing very slowly a limp that at its worst she wouldnt put paw down at all and was hopping about! after 10 days of metcam and equally as slowly she is very nearly back to normal still a limp but more a stiffness. So we having very small walks no off lead and generally resting up! We have been advised if it comes back again we may need to sedate her and xray which i am wary of as she took a bit longer that they would have liked to come round when she was spayed and dont want to put her at risk if it can be avoided. Back to the point i would like to put her on some glucosamine and chondroitin supplement to just give her a bit of help with her being a bigger dog, my question is how much she weighs 35kg i cant really find an answer on the net and wondered if anyone uses and how they find it? tank u for reading kate x

missy has either tweaked her cruciate or pulled a muscle in the her leg and is limping so after biscuits and cuddles of the vet she is on a week of metcam and rest. any ideas on non fattening treats ive got to keep her quiet and busy but dont want her getting chubby?

Shes lovely! So like my moo in the face, cant wait to meet her next time we are all free. We thought she might be staying she really is cute. Its the pringle pack once u pop u just cant stop!

glad its not just me! i had to go out in the coat with the golf umbrella over her so she would go for a wee!

They are lovely Cher like lovely little peas in a pod! Mayb she is trying to tell u next time i need a really enormous chew stick so i can see it!

well today we have done very little as missy hates the fireworks we have been for an early walk and then i have filled her up with pilchards and rice for tea and now we are cuddled up and happy funny how things dont worry she when she is a full up!

u can make the kong more interseting i do a ribbon through the holes so it a flinger toy as well then stuff it just the tiny one mind u or she would prob knock her self out, with missy being a strong chewer other than than kongs flavoured nylabones are the only other thing that last and she loves them got about five! oh and she does have a ball that gots a sort of maze inside that u put kibble in and she has to roll it around to get treats out shes had that as well since she was tiny xx biggest thing that i got told that really helped was only giving a couple of things each day so she doesnt get bored i put everything in a big laundry bag and then make a huge big deal of her picking out what she wants (im sad i know hehe)

A friend of ours suffered very bad with severe fibroids and she was only 34 but had 2 children and they did offer her hysterectomy but they left one of her overies in situ so that (touch wood) she hasnt/doesnt go thro the menapause until she would naturally so the risk of oesto is only the same as it always was, and she also had it thro keyhole so only had 4x1 inch little scar that u can barely see one year on! good luck in finding something that helps u x

dont normally post of this bit but wanted to say made Missy her first pilchard cake today from Wiggles recipe and she loved it! Her eyes were on stalks while i was baking it! She adores fish of any kind im sure thats why she is so shiny! thats and the fact that shes anyones for a cuddle so is constantly being stroked smooth!
