  1. Amy - I have one but havent downloaded it yet, not sure how good it'll be because I'm a rubbish photographer and my camera isnt the best. On the adoption note - fingers crossed as Ginny has an adoption visit this weekend (boohoo)
  2. Thought I had listed this show on here but obviously not!! Anyway, I had an Oldies stall at this small show, weather was sunny but verrry cold, as usual in the north east - had a book sale, tombola, guess the number of biscuits, bandanas and recipe books for sale. All in all, only the tombola and a few dog books did well, managed to raise £49 so not too bad as it was only a small show, and only on for about 3hrs. Hopefully the next show will bring in more muh needed funds. A few people were interested in the posters/information and a few people thought Ginny was lovely - unfortunately Ginny didnt enjoy herself too much, she doesnt like to leave the sofa for too long - even tho' I took a comfy dog bed for her and a massive chew she really wasnt best pleased!!
  3. he is a very handsome dog and deserves to have his cake and eat it too!!!
  4. Ive printed and laminated one and it's all ready for the Croft Dog Show on Monday!
  5. every penny counts so although disappointing to you it all adds up when it's in the pot!! beach looks fab!! i'm doing a show at the bank holiday anbd trying not to be too hopeful about it!
  6. great news, hope you have many happy times ahead Sammy xx well done to your foster family for helping you so much xx
  7. excellent - good for Oldies, good for staffies, good for greyhounds, good for "dont buy from a puppy farm" - all round great article. Well done Laura and Tess, Tess was a little star - she is gorgeous
  8. So very sorry for you - to lose your sweetheart is truly heart-breaking, I could cry just thinking about it At least she had loving arms to hold her on the way to the Bridge. Run free sweet Cassie x
  9. So very sorry for your loss Wendy - it's a heart-breaking thing to do . Run free Sir H, I'm sure lots of our loved ones will be waiting to greet you.
  10. I was very saddened to hear that Merlin had gone to the Bridge. Better for him but I am so sorry for you Margaret. Having lost Tess last August I know how devastating it is, but to lose 3 so close together must be heart-breaking. Take comfort in all the good wishes coming your way and in the knowledge of the happy home you gave. lots of hugs to help you through this dark time xx
  11. Are they having a pet day at all of their stores?? might be worth asking, unfortunately there aren't any in the north east, only Leeds or Edinburgh - both too far fromme o:(
  12. I can usually "sneak" a few off at work so if you/anyone needs any more let me know, cheers
  13. Actually I too have started sending some begging letters. I'm taking a stall and sponsoring the Best Veteran class (on behalf of Oldies) for a dog show in July so as sponsor am providing the 1-3rd prizes, two of the three companies I have approached have agreed to send me something, in fact one already has, I have 1 months supply of joint supplements for each place, and another company, a food manufacturer has agreed to send me some stuff nearer the time. I am also trying to put together a luxury hamper to raffle and one company has already agreed to send me some luxury skincare (not tested on animals!!) so am about to try a few more. It's almost like getting a present for yourself when they say yes!
  14. I'm sure Duncan could be employed as a "taster" - just to make sure the goodies are ok for any other dogs of course
  15. I was looking into the possibility of doing this show if (a) I could get some help and (b) I could get a campsite. Well, I managed to get some help, however, the campsite is very expensive which means I cannot afford to travel there and stay overnight so unfortunately I cannot do the show. It's mainly because it's in "high" season and caravan/camping sites hike the prices up ridiculously high, especially in the summer holidays. I'm reall sorry I can't do this show but I'm afraid funds just won't allow it Hopefully there'll be something else nearer to me.
  16. Snoopy was lucky to be loved at the end of his life and I'm sure he was given all the love and care possible. Run free sweet Snoopy and hugs to his lovely foster family and thanks for taking care of him .
  17. I've posted onto my facebook page and asked everyone to cross post. This is just completely wrong. They are bullying people into making a rash decision, who the hell could find a home for a dog (even if they wanted to) or even find a new home for themselves - in TWO weeks! Ridiculous. They should definitely be named and shamed. As for taking photo's, surely it is an invasion of their privacy.
  18. So very sorry to hear this but glad that you had time to spoil him and make his last few days even more special. He was a lucky boy to have been with you and loved so well to you all. Run free sweet boy xxx
  19. Am so sorry to hear this, but it's good that you have planned to have some time together before he has to leave you. That will be very special and precious to you and you will be able to heap love on him and he will go peacefully and gladly at the end. The hardest of all things to do, but ultimately the best for him to you and your family and of course to Ben xxxxx
  20. can't believe they'd sell them at car boots - if I saw someone selling them, what's the best course of action (apart from breaking their legs!!! the breeder not the puppies!!!! ).
  21. good luck Whiskey - hope it works out for you xx
  22. Thanks Amy, don't worry if you don't get round to it - not a problem.
  23. can he be left during the day?? A colleague who works for my organisation has been considering fostering but isnt sure yet and would prefer something "short term" but she works. If he can be left I could ask her
