  4. Great - have got the Duke one now so will get that out to my volunteers together and I will add it to the ones I am putting out./ Thank Fiona Anne
  5. I posted on Rescue Helpers Unite and so far have three volunteers. I will send you their email addresses so that you can send them a questionnaire. They are going to be putting up posters in their various areas. Which will hopefully bring more on board. Anne
  6. Ahh, she is so sweet but what a shame she has had such a hard time lately. I hope she finds a home soon. Anne
  7. Would have loved to have come but it is a bit too far for us Anne
  8. Hi Katiebob, have you tried the homeopathic remedy Hypericum for Bobby. This is a great remedy for issues with nerves and spinal problems. I used it on my own dog when he had a disc problem. Alternatively, Mag Phos may help if there is pressure on the spinal cord, again I gave this to Barty prior to having surgery to relieve pressure on the spinal cord. HTH Anne
  9. Hope the news is good for this boy when you visit the vets. Fingers crossed. Anne Hope the news is good for this boy when you visit the vets. Fingers crossed. Anne
  10. We stayed in my friend's cottage in Roch, which is on the south coast about 1/2 mile from Newgale beach. But to be honest - there were so many lovely places all around the North and South Pembrokeshire coast that it was all great. A lady at my agility club has been going to Newport for the last 20 years every year with her dogs and just loves the place. Anne
  11. Bad You Tube - the first one is the best - even if the camera does shake when I get my feet wet. It is Barty going life saving my friend in the water. Anne
  12. I absolutely loved Pembrokeshire. Newgale beach which was the nearest to where we were staying is 2 miles long and 1 and a half of that dogs can run and play any time of year. The videos were taken on Nolton beach where we went swimming. We spent the whole day on the beach from 11am until around 4pm and Barty didn't stop playing with doggy friends, running in and out of the surf and paddling around with a silly grin on his face. I haven't seen him have so much fun since he was a two year old. I can't believe I hadn't discovered this place before, but I shall be back. We are taking them to Cornwall in a couple of weeks as I can't get back to France because of the channel tunnel fire so hopefully he will have as much fun there. Anne
  13. Oooh, he's thin. Hope someone offers him the good home he deserves. Anne
  14. Thought you guys might like to see my two having fun on their recent holiday. We went to South Pembrokeshire, which is somewhere I have never been before but will definitely be going back to. It is THE most dog friendly place I have ever been, it was the first time either dog had been to the sea. If you watch these clips, bear in mind that Barty - the lurcher - has no hips sockets - a bulging disc in the his back and also spondylosis. This was a dog having FUN with a capitol F. Enjoy - my dogs did !!!! Anne, Barty & Chloe
  15. Congratulations Vera. I remember that feeling well winning out of classes. It has been years since I competed in obedience competition, as I haven't had a dog that was fit enough or tame enough for about 10 years. But many congratulations to you again and may it be the first of many red rosettes for Jesse. Anne
  16. A real smasher Fiona. I can just picture your lot - 5 sighthounds and a little tiny corgi. Must be a real sight. Anne
  17. OK, well thank you everyone for the advice. I just got sort of panicky. I have spoken to the kennels and the rescue and they are expecting the dogs back because that was my fear that I would end with the dogs and by all accounts they are a bit of a handful. The rescue is lacking in transport help and very short of money. So can understand why they don't spend on niceties like public liability insurance. Both dogs are going to be securely and separately crated in my car so I think I will go ahead. I am doing the whole run myself so no-one else is involved. Thanks people, you are all so helpful Anne
  18. Not sure whether this is the right place to post this but.... a person on another forum has posted a desparate message to get some dogs she took in on foster back to kennels because they are causing all sorts of problems. I have volunteered to help get them back but have now discovered there is no insurance cover or back up if I have any sort of problem on the journey. I think the foster mum is going to cover my petrol costs because she is so desparate to get them out but wondered whether I was being stupid doing this. What does anyone think?? Anne
  19. Don't they look smart now - has Guiness stopped humping everything in sight yet??? Anne
  20. Thanks Zico's mum. Blimey - now I am going to have to find out where the post codes are to sort this one.
