  1. Thanks Kathy, You've met him & he really is a gem of a dog. As much as I love him he does deserve a home of his own.
  2. Bruno is a delightful little lad. He exact origins are still unknown. Whilst he has brindle colouring he is anything like a staffy. His face is chi, but hes just over jrt size. He's a lovely little, boy. Dog friendly, people friendly. Loves his walks, has been clean and well behaved in the kennels. Bruno is only 14 mths old approx. As with all our dogs he he Neutered, Vax, Frontlined, Wormed & Mircorchipped. He will have 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance and a Pedigree Rehoming Pack to go home with. This is the little shorty. As with all our dogs- please contact me via here or www.d-a-s-h.co.uk
  3. Bobby is a beautiful lad. He had been mistreat so can be nervous but once he knows you he loves his cuddles and is a very affectionate lad. We have cut all the matted fur from him now and got all his legs seperate from his matted fur on his body. Bobby would be better as an only dog with older child/children. He is very affectionate but also can be very nervous. He still has food aggression which we are working with but he has improved a lot now h knows his food is his & wont be taken off him. We think he was left without food. Due to this Bobby does need some one who understands the nervous nature of collies and the 'trading' of food to continue the work with him . As with all our dogs he is Neutered, Vaccinated, Wormed, Frontlined,Microchipped has Four Weeks Free INsurance with PetPlan & PEdigree Rehoming PAck As with all our dogs please see www.d-a-s-h.co.uk for more details and to contact me
  4. Meet Tyson - he is a 18mth old Staffy x. Believe hes cross with a jrt as not very big. Fantastic nature, loves people, dogs, children. He walks really well on both his normal lead & harness & flexi lead Tyson is neutered, vacinated, frontlined, wormed, microchipped, he comes with 4 weeks Free Insurance with PETPLAN & a PEDIGREE REHOMING PACK. Please see www.d-a-s-h.co.uk for more details and our contact information

  6. I dont know about Bob so must be another Tracyb. I do like collie though. I have sent pms & email before- which is odd as they normally have responded. Will try again
  7. I have a few times now asked if my status can be changed so I can post requesting homes for my dogs. Unfortunately nothing has changed. I'd really like to use the board more but I cant start new topics. Can someone/anyone please help. Ive logged on helpdesk & pmd mods last year. 9. Hi Barbera- found here as well Good to see you on Refuge
  10. OMG- baby bunnies. I have double hutch so if really cheeky could take 2 Have one already coming in for another hutch. But can collect from NEWARK if it helps
  11. Thanks for looking after him Kate- he really is a gem of a dog. Think he likes it at your house but you cant be failed fosterer already.
  12. Hope everything checks out for these two. They really are cats that think they're dogs. A lady we see brings hers on harnessess for a walk to pet shop. Stunning animals & I dont really like cats but these are unique
  13. We had a women turn back up at the rescue recently to get her newly adopted dog chipped, that was wearing a prong collar. Rescue went barmy- told her she had to either leave the collar or we'd take the dog back. Her trainer had told her to use it because the dog pulled!! It was a 10mth old pup. Told her to change her trainer to some one who actually knew about dogs, no need to use a collar bought from internet when there are so many other options on the market. I used to like him til I started to hear bout the use of treadmills to wear the dogs out before doing any training, shock collars, prong collars. Went off him after that
  14. I'm so sorry. I have two rescue rabbits myself & can only imagine what you went thru. At least bunny had a caring home for the last few months
  15. It would appear that the people who had the mother had 'issues' the mother of the pups didnt want to know??? also he was putting the pup in the crate when it misbehaved so it kept growling at him. Tried to advise him on giving pup treat or chew in crate so it associated it with nice things not beeen naughty. Also that by taking it away from it's litters mates that it had missed out on learning a lot of manners. Told him to invest in a kong & some structured exercise so it stopped trashing the house. Edited to remove 'other' info Kazz
  16. I met a 'person' last weekend in a local Pets at home store, broadcasting how his'pitbull' had that morning eaten cash, cd's, carpet amongst other things. He was next to me in a queue so I waited whilst we got outside. I said to him that I wasn't a local loony (despite what some of you think) but was slightly concerned been involved in rescue that he maybe needed to be a little careful over what type of dog he was broadcasting he had. He then said -oh I know it's down as a staffy cross at the vets. I asked a few more questions & found out that he'd had it from 3 weeks & it was already displaying dominant behaviour towards him at 20weeks old. ie growling & biting. I tried to give him some better advice ie how to use a crate, treats & reward methods together with training before things get out of hand. I have my concerns in this case-knowing more than I can type.
  17. You've done an amazing job & I'm sure there's a lot more happy dogs & owners because of you. It saddens me that people who dont even recognise a breed can decide that it's 'pit bull' As you have said you've come a long way in getting people to understand what makes a dangerous dog & it isn't the size or shape of it. Good luck & even more success to follow
  18. Amazing how half of them own pitbulls- doubt very much if they are. If they were they'd all have the police around & be sitting in stinking kennels by now. Good that you were able to go into the school to discuss things with them thou. Nothing worse than kids for nagging parents- hether they have special needs or not.
  19. My wonderful collie had cancer- we didnt know unti lhis spleen started to rupture, he had his spleen removed & was ok -for about two weeks. We lost him two years ago in December. Skye my labx who's now 10 has variuos fatty lumps all over her- especially near mamory glands & stomach. She's had fatty lumps before & had one removed but after loosing my collie despite all we did I 'e left these other lumps to take there course. Sme have grown some havent. I dont know if they are begnein or not but not going to put her thru what Glenn went thru
  20. Have crossposted latest info onto Hunting Forum. These guys have been really helpful with other missing dogs & knowing the breed may see something we 're missing
  21. Nothing ever will replace Rosie, but doesnt matter how many you have the missing sound of extra paws on the floor gets you. I got Glenn from Valgrays Collie Rescue & also know that Mill Rescue has a lovely little colli in that was caught in barbed wire. She's been sorted out & still has stitches. Where ever you go in the end a collie will be guarenteed a wonderful life
  22. A lovely tribute to your collie girl, she will find a way to give you comfort. Hopefully she will have gone to give Glenn my collie boy a hug-it was his birthday on the 14/10. We lost him him to cancer the same. Sweet dreams & run free Rosie Buttons
