  1. Loads of good luck thoughts for Mal today, hope it is nothing to worry about to both of you (and Kiera so she doesn't feel left out)
  2. Fab news about Dory and that Ria will be back, hope to see you out and about soon.
  3. No problems with a treeless at all at unafilliated level, there are a few that ride with them round me at competitions. And no, you don't have to plait, whatever sort of horse you have, there are often TB types not plaited round us, it is not a showing class, although his appearance will affect the impression the judge gets of him - and he looks so stunning in natural state that that will be no problem for him!!!
  4. I've stayed the same this week, which is a tad disappointing cos I have been good, but at it probably makes up for the weeks where I have been naughty and managed to lose!!! Well done to all the losers
  5. Like Alex says - not too early for the synflex to be working, it worked that quickly on Jasper and has continued to work. You wouldn't think this dog had major problems with his elbow and sometimes didn't want to go for a quick walk round the block would you???

    The Urge

I've got that devil on my shoulder most of the time and have done for the past few months. I really really want a collie cross terrier type, the only thing that stops me is the number of conditions I have put on this dog - must be under 1 year old, short coat (smooth or rough), male, very active - pref ball mad cos I would love him to do flyball, must be dog friendly, ideally horse friendly as well (although I would be prepared to work on this with the right dog) and must be brown (to fit with the rest of the pack!!!)
  7. Thats amazing, well done to all the Harriers
  8. Sorry you were having these problems, as you know, I do the same sport as you with the dogs, and it is by no means unusual for there to be a lot of bitey dogs around the area, well out of order in my opinion. All the dogs get excited, but I still expect them to maintain control, or if they can't the owner shold be keeping them far enough away from the ring and other dogs that it isn't a problem.
  9. I've just had a call off the organisers of the dressage that me and Jayne (Gooster) are going to on Sunday to ask if it is a major problem if Jayne has her test at about 9.30am and mine don't start until 1pm!!! Apparently they have been let down by a judge having to start later than planned. They were really worried that it would be a problem for me and were trying to work out if they could find stables we could put the boys in in the gap. I've said not to worry about it, I'll just take Blue first then go home after that, drop Blue off and collect Apple!!! Means I get a bit more of a lie in cos I won't get Apple ready until we come back!!!
  10. Got to agree with Angel on that one - doesn't seem to make any sense, looks like someone has copied it out wrong to me.
  11. Really sorry you have got an infection. hopefully the anti-b's will get rid of it and you can get on with healing and be back in the saddle in no time.
  12. Really pleased that all went well at training, one of these days I'll manage to get there to see her play!!! Hopefully now that she has decided that the horse is no fun she will start to concentrate more on the flyball, Kimba used to be really slow too, until he was 100% confident of what he was doing he wouldn't really try. At the start of last summer he was timed at aroun 6.5secs, now that he has got his head round the idea and is confident with it all he runs at under 5secs and almost keeps up with the collies!!! I'm sure in time Kiera will get quicker, and if not, it doesn't matter - she still gets to have fun doing it!!!
  13. Woohoo - Despite Sunday's failings, I have still managed to lose a pound this week - way better than I was expecting!!!
  14. She is absolutely stunning, and looking beautifully fit and healthy
  15. Hi, my lot have all done the bronze and were tested very differently. One of them was allowed to do the stay on his own because he has fear issues with other people being too close to him, so rather than have people wandering about sorting their dogs out whilst he was on a stay they just took us aside and did he stay. They should let you do it in such a way that your dog is comfortable, if you are not happy with where you are placed ask if you can move to the end of the line or something.
  16. Congrats to all the losers - sounds like you are all doing really well I am really annoyed with myself, I was doing really well this week, weighed myself yesterday morning and I had lost 2 lbs since weigh in on Tuesday so was really happy. I was in Selby all day yesterday flyballing with the dogs - they have a really good burger van there that is right next to the building we use, so I had a really big breakfast so that I wouldn't be tempted to get a bacon buttie or anything when I arrived. Got there, resisted the temptation, raced all morning, ate the food I had taken with me for lunch, then folded and got myself a burger and chips at about 4pm, I wouldn't have minded so much except that I wasn't even that hungry, just got tempted. I weighted myself again this morning and I have put 3 lbs back on Official weigh in isn't until tomorrow but I can't see me shifting it before then
  17. Nope, we will all be at Anglesey for the weekend then me and Jayne are probs going up to Carlton Towers for the multi-breed comp on the Monday.
  18. My Maddie has got Twigg and Alfie ears too!!! Handle bar version: random ears: I've not managed to capture them in full up floppy mode, but she looks just like Twigg when she does that!!!
  19. I get it a lot with Kimba my dobie boy, the funniest was when I first got him, we went to a big horse show thing and 2 teenage girls were fussing him and rolling round on the floor playing with him, one of them asked what he was, when I told them they both squealed and ran away - he was 13 weeks old at the time!!!! Having said that, my Dad wasn't much better, when it was first agreed that I was getting him I was still living at my parent's house, Dad refused to let me go and pick him up on the Tuesday cos he was away all week and didn't want to get home on Friday and not be able to get in the house cos the Doberman might attack him!!!
  20. Thanks for that - I thought that miht be the case, think I might stick to normal scales for now and just head for a weight I am happy with.
  21. I was always unsure of BMI, does anyone find the fat% scales/hand held things any good? I was thinking of gettign soething like that cos I am very muscular from all the horsey stuff I do and I think I would look ill if I weighed 9stone which is about the middle of my healthy weight according to BMI. Well done everyone who has lost or stayed the same, and those that have gained a bit - there is always next week to get back on track. I am really pleased cos I have managed to lose 1.5lb - I have tryed really hard this week, but thought it might have gone out of the window with a night out drinking on Saturday with lots of ice cream cocktails!!!

    Dog food

Have to agree with you there Ruth, my lot are 100% better now I feed them raw, I have 3 quite big dogs - and they still only cost me about 50p per day each to feed. I have 1 who appears to be allergic to pretty much everything - even the exclusion diets available from the vets, 1 who is the fussiest eater on the planet, and 1 who will eat anything but had a rubbish coat and was often a bit loose in his poos on Burns, Superpoo & James Wellbeloved. All 3 look fantastic on raw, and I constantly get complemented on how good they all look.
  23. I'm so sorry Michelle. It was clear how much you both loved her and how much she loved you in return. Run free and fit again at the bridge
  24. Fantastic news Cathy, really pleased for you - he must like being a mischief!!! Looking forward to seeing him in action some time soon hopefully!!! K
  25. I might well take you up on that!!! Wre you doing any of the indoor shows??
